Made a test purchase of a single pack since this had no reviews. I haven't scientifically tested the strength or durability; but it is not an outright scam at least. The welds are all consistent and appear strong. Pictured are the two brackets that come with this purchase (note: NO bolts or hardware are included, purchase them separately) w/ an 8.5 by 11 sheet of printer paper as reference.

It would have been nicer if this was a little closer to 3.5" so my lumber would fit snuggly. There is a gap. No screws came with this so you have to supply your own. Other pergola products I've purchased had screws. This bracket was what I needed to complete my pergola. Seems sturdy but time will tell how it holds up to the weather here.

The pair of 4X4 corner kitss arrived timely. I'm planning a structure to support some solar panels I acquired. These devices will sit on top of vertical 4X4s and attach one end (or a mid-point) of a horizontal 4X4s. I'm impressed by the quality of the kit. They are made of 11-gauge galvanized steel which I measured as 1/8 inch thick. The black powder-coat finish looks durable. The join are neatly weldedor bent into shape.I tried the fit of the timber by inserting a piece of 30-year old pressure-treated 4X4 I had lying around. I intend to use recycled timber for most of the construction. It fits nicely with about 1/10 inch of slop all around. As there are a total of 14 screw holes, this little bit of slop takes the pressure off getting the fit exactly right, because the angle of the 4X4 can be adjusted slightly via wood screws in those holes.I got this pergola kit free via the vine program, and I liked them so much I immediately ordered another for the other two corners, availing of a $24 "Black Friday" discount. I love to find well-engineered and well-designed pieces of hardware.I'll update this review as construction progresses.

I ordered these up because I'm designing a pergola for a roof top deck and wanted to check them out before purchasing the remaining 20 or so I'll need for the project. They look awesome and the ones I received are solidly constructed.I'll be ordering the remaining items I need soon!

Great brackets and decent for the price. only downside they do not come with the screws but other than that it’s pretty sturdy and good quality. They fitted the 4x4 ok but had a slight gap which is not a big deal. Looks good

These were perfect for my new garden, as I need to build a new garden entrance for my climbing roses to greet my visitors. This made the project easier. Recommend.

This clever joiner brings together three pieces of wood and creates a perfect 90 degree angle. This is how you get perfect seamless corners without having to drill all the way through your posts. Genius! And the black powder coat finish is really attractive and looks strong enough to stand up to the weather.

These seem sturdy and well built, though there is no guidance as to what kind of load they can bear. They are galvanized with a good powder coat on top, which is about the best you can do to prevent rust. It will also help prevent galvanic corrosion, which can happen with hardware or when used with treated lumber. So these are suitable for indoor or outdoor use.The internal dimensions are just a hair larger than 3.5 inches. They seem tooled well with no sharp edges.I recommend using joist tape with it.
