Very sturdy. Holds a 16†laptop with no problem, adjustable at different heights and the tension can be adjusted on the lift platform if it needs it, but out of the box this thing has been perfect. It has helped me to sit up straighter in my office chair because of the elevated platform.

Saw a friend using one with a 13" laptop and noticed the screws could be tightened. Bought mine and am using it with a 15" laptop which sits comfortably. Raises the laptop height so I can use it while standing (it sits on a high desk). It's very important that the screws can be tightened. There is bounce as expected when I type on the laptop but it's not considerable and the benefit to me outweighs this.

What a pain in the a** it is to have to keep the metal tool nearby all the time so you can adjust the stiffness if the bolts. Wish there was a dial you can just turn. I wouldn't buy it again and am thinking of returning it.
