I just received this item a few days ago and immediately set it up because a number of reviews didn't recommend it. However, the quality of this brand seems very good. Set-up was easy, it seemed very sturdy, and I look forward to using it when camping to hold my outdoor light. It did come with stakes to use in the holes at the base to help keep it in place in windy conditions, but I'll probably use my own better-quality stakes. It came with a nice carry-bag and I had no trouble fitting it back into the bag after my trial run in my living room.

Recommend it! Used it once in camping.. worked great but there was no wind. Easy to use and good quality.

This one of the best investments that my husband made. It holds our lantern up high enough it's not blinding us and it keeps the bugs down. It is ease to set up and take down. It comes with a storage bag. We really enjoy using it.

Our previous pole from Cabelas broke and they don’t make them anymore so this was the only other option. I was a little hesitant because of some of the reviews, but it isn’t flimsy or seems inferior to the product Cabelas used to carry. We can’t tell the difference between this one and our old one so glad I bought this in order to carry on with camping life just as we had before a tree limb crushed our old one.

Very useful during open ground camping. Saved me a lot of time looking for branches or set up poles to hang my lanterns. I chose this vs one that can punch in to the ground due to the weight. This one is lighter Height is good.

Glad to receive this item, it is freestanding and can set up quickly. The 3 stakes supplied with it are not decorative, they are long and very solid. I can put a coleman pump lantern on one of the arms without the pole bending like a fishing rod. I received it with one of the broken plastic ears (which supports the chrome brackets), but I don't believe that's the responsibility of the seller, but of the transport. Fortunately the plastic is porous and with the hot glue at 200 degrees celcius the repair is almost as solid as the new part (I nevertheless created a reinforcement with the reworked glue with a heated knife to create a reinforcement).
