This is not a crypto wallet but a backup for your OneKey wallet. It’s a cool and easy way to store your keys. You have to use it with the OneKey app but I’ve read that you can import other wallets into the app. I haven’t tried though.Out of the box, you can use this to backup either the app’s hot wallet or the OneKey hardware wallet (sold separately). Or both, if you get more of these.You can only backup one set of seed phrases.It’s nice that it fits in your wallet but I see no reason to carry this around unless you’re really afraid of forgetting your hot wallet login or losing your cold wallet. If traveling, it might be good to take along as a secure backup for your cold wallet, and of course, kept separate, somewhere safe. Other than that though, I’d feel more comfortable keeping this in a safe or security deposit box. If there’s one rule that’s constant, it’s that anything can be hacked.Also, I wouldn’t want to trust this to be your only backup for your keys. Being hardware, it can break. If you snap this in two, you’ve lost your keys. So really, the best use for this would be for travel, as I suggested above, or for those who live on the blockchains and need a backup on them at all times. You’d still want your keys also stored in your safe back home just in case.I have the OneKey Classic hardware wallet, and it is great. Very easy to use and supports most, if not all, coins. The OneKey lite is a perfect companion to it.

It is important to realize that a crypto wallet is simply a container for a public and private key, the crypto that you possess is stored elsewhere in a blockchain and accessed via the wallet ID and keys. The keys and ID are created from a secret phrase of twelve random words, so a wallet can always be recreated if the phrase is known. In fact, the same crypto wallet can exist in multiple devices simultaneously.Saving the phrase is cumbersome and MUST be done securely. The OneKey Lite does an awesome job for me simplifying a quick backup and restoration of the phrase for a single wallet. Using the OneKey app two clicks will back up or restore the phrase from the card. A pin code protects the restoration of the key from the card, so if it is lost or stolen it is useless for someone else!Every card has a unique ID engraved on the back. If you are using multiple cards to backup the phrases for multiple wallets, I would suggest keeping a secure list that maps wallet names to the corresponding card.

I also may include my opinion on the product's value proposition to the market.REVIEW:--------------------------------I've been trying out a few different ways to store my Crypto, so naturally when this came up in Vine I jumped at it. The product eco-system is nice, has a well constructed app, and the brand seems to have been around since 2019. From my testing, it stores an encrypted copy of the wallet keys onto the NFC card which can be scanned and reloaded at a later date.Pros:- App is well constructed, worked without issue on Android 14- App can handle transactions / multiple wallets / using it as a hot wallet- App has live crypto price data- Can create a new wallet right in the app (more on that in cons).- Besides the lite (NFC card), they also electronic and physical hardware versions.- Can import wallets via a variety of methodsCons:- App requires a separate 6-digit PIN code to import from the stored data on the card, I would have preferred a variable length for extra entropy, although the app supposedly self-destructs after 10 tries (not sure what the reset is, once unlocked?). Not sure if a clever person could dump/clone the card for unlimited attempts.- Will not hold up to anything major such as a fire, flood, or ex-partner. May not be the best solution for cold-storage.- For the price, they could have made it steel (there's some Credit Cards like this) and it would have felt more premium.- Putting *a lot* of trust into the company and it's employees by generating the wallet in the App, so keep that in mind. I prefer to generate my own offline. The Crypto world isn't exactly trustworthy.- Card does not back up the account names you assign nor is there a way to store a note with the keys.Conclusion:Kind of an odd product. It's portable enough to carry in your physical wallet, but the app already has your data -- unless you reset the app between uses, and then the reloading via the card NFC is longer than you'd want at a checkout. As a cold-storage backup, it stores things digitally so it's susceptible to various things erasing the chip, like your brother setting off an EMP or your young child playing with the microwave you got them for Christmas.
