Oneway Stronghold Chuck Kit With No Insert
Oneway chucks have been designed by a machinist with engineering input from material, heat treating, and plating specialists in order to satisfy the woodturner's every need. Four jaws chucks allow clamping of square or round stock and self-centering jaws allow maximum ease of setup. Internal or external clamping on your piece is also possible. All Oneway chucks and their accessories are manufactured in Stratford, Canada.

This chuck has worked well for me both in roughing out bowls in wet wood, and also finishing dried bowls that I had previously roughed out. This is a STRONG chuck and its serrated jaws get a strong grip on the wood. The geared chuck key is easy to use through the alignment holes in the side of the chuck. There is a nice variety of larger and smaller jaws that can be purchased separately for different size applications. You can also get a set of jumbo jaws (used internal or external) to hold a bowl from the large end so that you can finish the bottom. Overall, this is a well designed, versatile chuck. Like all of the One-way tools and chucks I have had, they are well designed, precision manufactured and while not cheap, they have given good value for the price.

It should be noted that this chuck doesNOT come with the adapter. I had to order it separately after receiving the chuck and noticed it was not a complete chuck.
