The good:It's a big steel tube.It's cheaper than at my local hardware, and faster shipping.Regularly formed, no twists, bends, burrs, or other deformities.The bad:I don't have more of it?Other thoughts:I bought 72" and 36" lengths, sliced them up with a cut-off wheel on an angle grinder, and made a solid bumper mount for my 88' Dakota. The OEM front bumper mounts aren't easily found anymore (unless you go to the dealer or find NOS, both of which cost more than this and aren't as strong) and the local junk yard parts were all horribly rusty or bent. It's not standard equipment, but it gets the job done.

It measures exactly 2" x 3", 0.12" Wall, 24" Length (by comparison / unlike a piece of wood 2 x 4 which is actually 1.5 x 3.5).So what else to say. It is again the exact dimensions specified. It is thick and heavy. It is straight, mine arrived in perfect condition and was a reasonable price. It shipped for free because I met the $49 threshold minimum for free shipping.If you need a square metal tube which is exactly 2" x 3", 0.12" Wall, 24" Length, look no further.I do not know if this will be deleted or if my review wont get published BUT CHECK YOUR BANK ACCOUNT because I was charged TWICE for this and only order it one time. The (lengthy) process of the initial phone call, put on hold, etc now 7-10 business days for a refund sucks.Worst customer service EVER by Amazon - still my favorite retailer however I guess it is true that everyone makes mistakes.6-27-16 UPDATEgot my refund from Amazon***ALSO***Id HIGHLY RECOMMEND finding a local dealer of metal because near me (Schorr Metals Placentia) this (these) pieces of tubing are about 1/5th the price... $0.59 per poundway less money, Id say at most 3 x 2 x 24 would be $3 to $4 dollarsheads up

I bought this steel tubing to make a handrail for the front porch. I like that I was able to order just what I needed and did not have to place a large order. The metal was delivered in great condition. It worked easily and welded well. I am very happy with the finished project, it should last for many years.

Arrived 2 days ahead of schedule.Minimal discoloration, looks much better than the amazon picture.My biggest concern prior to recieveing it was that the weld would stick out on the outside, but to my relief and joy the weld was as flat and smooth as a mirror with a slight rainbow effect from the heat, an unexpected but nice effect.Only complaint is it arrived with some burrs on both ends but that was cleaned up in a minute with a file and pliers.Overall 9/10 will definitely buy again once I use all of it for various projects.
