I found the quality of materials and fit and finish to be excellent. The counter balance made a world of difference on the performance of a Weber rotisserie a on kettle grill; in the past the motor would struggle with two 7 lb pork roast, having a balanced load there was no struggle at all.

Screw to hold weight is not long enough to hold weight. After finding substitute, I was able to install. The weight is not heavy enough to have much effect on a 17 lb turkey.

Used this counter balance for my Kamado Big Joe Joetisserie spit, provides balanced weight distribution to aid motor and prolong life.

This is a solidly made counterweight and will no doubt be fine for pretty heavy racks of meat. Should help save the motor if the load is balanced.
