I’ve been using my first data logger for 5 years now. I finally had to change the battery this winter. I was worried about doing it, but it was easy and it’s still working fine. I use the two I have for lake temp and fish pond temps. I have it set to take two readings per day. It talks to the App on my phone once I pull it out of the water. Easy process . I just have it suspended on a long piece of nylon twine tied to something solid on land and it’s weighted by a large washer. Not pretty but it works and I stay dry.
