These do not work. You can not put anything in the sockets that have a high voltage. They will not stick on the walls. They fall off after a few days. Not worth the money.

My wife has been remodeling the kitchen for the past year. We moved a dish cabinet into the kitchen which was going to cover over the AC wall outlets. So we bought this product Presto Plug to extend the AC power out from behind the cabinet. The Presto Plug when plugged into did not work. I am an Electronics Engineer, so I got my volt meter out and tested the AC wall outlets they tested good. The Presto Plug when tested had 0 vots, no good. I got back on Amazon to look the seller up, now way to contact the seller and tell them there may be a safety issue with their product. I called Amazon and spoke to a representative and stated my issue and my concerns about the Presto Plug not working and my concern about safety.Something is wrong with the product. Being the curious Engineer I am, I took the Presto Plug apart. I took a picture and it is very visible the Presto Plug has a failed part that got hot and burnt the circuit board. Removing the Presto Plug from the recently painted kitchen wall resulted in the tearing of the sheetrock paper, now more repair work to do on our kitchen wall!!!! Not a happy customer. I would not recommend this product to anyone, fearful of the components failing, possible fire hazard in my opinion.

This is an excellent find for our RV as they don't put the plugs in the most easily accessed places, especially as we age. However, the only drawback is the adhesion. They say to make sure you place it where you want it as it won't remove, but it surely does. All on it's own. You just find it on the counter! But, I have now attached them with Command strips and now they are perfect! Still, an excellent find.Ok, now editing this review as for whatever reason, after about a week on the wall and very little to no use at all, the outlet no longer works. The outlet it's plugged into works just fine, so the issue is clearly with the extension. There is no 'reset' button that I can find. Now, I have to figure out how to get it off my RV wall without damaging the wall as I never thought I'd have to remove it, and certainly not this soon. The one in the bathroom does continue to work though.

After about a year of use, and apparently too much use powering a vacuum cleaner, the fuse blew, rendering it useless for electrical power. I opened it to find that it has a separate fuse on the USB charger half of the circuit, and decent power isolation on the high/low voltage sections of the power supply. However, it only has 250V 5A fuses protecting the circuits. This is more than adequate for the USB charger, but any larger, potentially motorized appliances will eventually wear out the fuse on the outlet side of the circuit.Decently built packaging and presentation, but the circuit leaves much to be desired, as I suppose these sorts of appliances are meant to be powered directly off the receptacle, or off an industrial grade extension cord.

I am providing feedback on the absolutely terrible quality of the Presto Plug Outlet Extender that I purchased August of 2024 to use for Christmas.Sequence of events.I first plugged my new Presto Plug Outlet Extender into an electrical outlet in my home that I know is functioning properly.Next I plugged an electrical device I own, that I am certain functions properly, into the top AC outlet of the Presto Plug Outlet Extender. The electrical device did not turn on.Next I unplugged my electrical device from the top AC outlet and then plugged it into the bottom AC outlet of the Presto Plug Outlet Extender. Again, the electrical device did not turn on.I concluded that there must be something wrong with the Presto Plug Outlet Extender, and I decided to inspect the internal contents as I have extensive knowledge of electronic and electrical devices.I un-screwed the 4 screws on the back side of the Presto Plug Outlet Extender.Upon inspection of the 4’ AC cable as it enters the housing and is connected to the printed circuit board ( PCB ), it was immediately apparent from the top ( unsoldered ) side, that poor quality would likely be the cause for no AC power reaching either of the two AC outlets of the Presto Plug Outlet Extender. None of the three AC cable wires (black, white, and green ) had been twisted and pre-solder tinned before insertion into their respective PCB holes. The individual copper strands on each of the three wires are crammed into and poorly fitting their holes.Once I turned the PCB over to inspect the soldered surface of the PCB, things looked even worse.1) the black ( “hot†120Vac ) lead has what is likely a “cold†solder joint, as is shown in “1†of the attached photo. Not enough heat or solder were applied, and the black residue on the solder joint indicates that either the soldering iron tip was not properly cleaned/tinned, or the copper trace of the PCB was oxidized, or the proper flux technique was not employed, or all of these conditions.2) The white ( “common†120Vac ) lead has almost no solder applied at all. In fact, so little solder was applied that the PCB’s hole for this wire is still clearly visible and unfilled, and the PCB’s copper trace is still clearly visible with an area lacking any solder. This can be seen in “2†of the attached photo. The issues with the “hot†and “common†wires on the PCB is the reason NO AC power is reaching either of the two AC outlets of the Presto Plug Outlet Extender.3) Finally, the most troubling thing I found during this inspection applies to the green ( “ground†) lead. There was no attempt made during the fabrication of this product to apply ANY solder to the ground lead at the PCB. There is absolutely NO SOLDER on the ground lead. The copper trace is completely visible and lacking solder. Not only is this false advertising on the manufacturers part because the packaging states “2 AC grounded plugsâ€, but this condition could lead to possible electrical shock hazards due to improper ( actually NO ) grounding and the possibility of litigation. This product is absolutely unacceptable, and unsafe for use.I might be able to understand that an assembly line worker could have inadequate skills or training to complete this basic manual soldering task, even though I wouldn’t accept that excuse. But the fact that there clearly was no quality control personnel inspecting and rejecting this work prior to closing up the housing of the Presto Plug Outlet Extender is even more troubling. After viewing this one unit, I can have no doubt that ALL products of this manufacturer have the same unacceptable quality level, that is, they are all useless. As such even though I passed the return date I feel that I should be entitled for a refund for both Presto Plugs. They are unsafe and I do not feel comfortable utilizing the second plug after finding all the issues with the first plug. Please contact me and let me know if and when you will be providing a refund.I gave one star because I couldn't give "0" stars

Good idea but doesn't stick to the wall as advertised. Pealed the paint off the wall. The cable is very hard to straighten out which probably caused the adhesive to fail.

Wouldn’t recommend this product because the plugs don’t stay in it. It also heats up and doesn’t allow the adhesive to stick to wall.
