The gas burner for my Ooni Karu 16 was worth the price! It’s easy to install and easy to light. You cannot use the bad burner to preheat the oven, then switch to wood. You’re supposed to let it cool first when switching between fuel methods. I don’t notice much difference in the flavor of my pizza when using gas as opposed to wood. The gas burner makes it easier to hold a consistent temperature as opposed to having to add more wood to hold the temperature steady. The burner perfectly fits my Ooni Karu 16. Quality design & build. Five months in, it works flawlessly so far.

I love the results I get with my Ooni using wood, but sometimes I just want pizza NOW! this burner gets the oven to my 700F target temp in a hurry, and I can fine tune it to stay right in range. I am very pleased with both the oven and the gas burner option

This may be a killer for the Ooni Karu pizza oven.Unit worked flawlessly for 3 pizza nights. The next couple of evenings that we used it, flame started to go out and we had to reignite while pizza was in the oven.Only the seventh night we used it, we couldn’t get the flame to ignite anymore at all. Out of 15-20 ignition attempts, it will ignite once.Super frustrated as we were hoping for easy operation but the burner makes one frustrated with the overall Ooni product.

We used the wood fired variety for a while but ended up with a lot of ash clouding the window and getting on the tile. This heats up pretty quickly and burns very clean. Should have used this from the beginning.

La instalación es fácil , pero es un poco complicado hacer que encienda con su propia chispa.La flama sale bien, puedo llegar a 400 grados celcius en media hora, pero usar la perilla para tener una flama "media" es dificil, sólo por eso no le dpy 5 estrellas.

Works awesome. I love the ability to control the flame with a knob instead of more or less wood. Preheating is quicker than using wood. As far as taste, I can’t really tell the difference over using wood.

This is a must have accessory for the Ooni oven. It works pretty well. Just don't forget it on high setting while eating your pizzas, it can use a lot of propane.
