This hub was a must have after upgrading to a M4 Mac mini. It gives me a few legacy USB A ports, an SD reader, and a second HDMI for my dual monitor setup. Everything functions well, and the metal exterior case makes this feel like a well built product. I also tried one from a more well known Amazon brand, but this one was superior. In particular the HDMI port is on the end of the hub, making it easy to just keep it inline with the monitor cable with less tangle or stress on the cable. Thought I am using it with a desktop for now, The small size would make it convenient to throw into a laptop bag as well. I am very happy with this hub.

I use mine for my gaming chair, it has two USB cables and this adapter lets me plug both in and only have to use one USBC cable to power it. Very convenient.

We didn't push the power limits of this unit, but we like that it support up to 100W power (our laptop only uses 45 watts). But the laptop (an HP) did yell at us that we weren't using a genuine HP power supply, even though we were - we were just running it through the hub.All that power stuff aside, everything worked just like it should We really only needed the extra USB-A ports, but we did try plugging our extra monitor into the hub and it worked just as well as it does plugged directly into the laptop - up to 1920 X 1200 resolution. We didn't try running three monitors at once though.A solid 5 out of 5 - it does what the description says it should do.

I recently got one of these retro handheld video game emulators and have spent a lot of time transferring ROMs to an SD card. After upgrading to a larger SD card, I knew it would be more convenient to be able to keep both cards connected to my computer without having to repeatedly plug/unplug them. This was just what I needed. The only downside: it can only read/write one SD card at a time. It still made the process a little easier

This is a very useful accessory to have around if you have any modern electronic devices that only have USB C connections, such as laptops, tablets, and phones. Even though most new devices have moved to the USB C standard, there are still a lot of accessories that have USB 3 connectors, so you need a way to adapt them.Examples of accessories that still are mainly USB 3 are keyboards, mice, flash drives, external hard drives, and many card readers. This USB C hub supplies 10Gbps speeds to all of the four USB 3.2 ports. Be aware that since the USB C cable only connects at 10Gbps to the laptop or device, the four USB 3.2 ports have to SHARE this 10Gbps data transfer rate. While this is a technical limitation, in practice it rarely has an impact. You would have to be doing a simultaneous streaming data transfer across two of the ports at the same time to see a bottleneck. Also, almost all external hard drives and USB 3 flash drives are 3.0, which means they are a maximum of 5Gbps transfer each. So if, for example, you tried to transfer data from one 5Gbps device to another across this hub, you won't notice much slowdown. As an unpowered data hub, be aware that if you try to use a device that requires a lot of USB power to run, this might not do it if you have multiple items plugged in at the same time. This hub is well made and reasonably priced. The one I received actually had a 20-inch attached cable, not the 7.8" in the listing. I actually am happy about this as it makes it so if you used it with a handheld device (tablet or phone), you can leave it sitting on the desk instead of having it dangle in the air. It comes with a velcro wrap to help with storing the cable when not in use.I can recommend this if you have a use for the functionality it provides.

I've used this on multiple machines as well as on a phone - gives me access to additional ports as well port types I didn't have natively on the device. Great compatibility on any device I've installed it onto.

Having the M1 Macbook pro, I only have the 2 USB-C ports and need an adapter to do.... well, anything. So I picked this up hoping it would fit the bill. It's small and easily portable, and all the plugs seem to generally work well. There have been multiple times, however, where I can't get it to work with a (name brand) SD or micro SD card, it sometimes won't allow my iPod to connect to my computer, and hooking a USB CD drive to it also only sometimes works. This issue happens about 15% of the time, and sometimes unplugging the device and plugging it back in will allow connection to work properly.

The Mac Mini M4 is a nearly perfect desktop computer. However, it mostly relies on USB-C for its connectivity. So when it came time to hook up a standard (read: mostly for Windows) keyboard & mouse with USB-A (rectangular) connectors, we were stuck. That's where OOTDAY saved the day. Using just one USB-C port on the Mini, we now have access to both our usual keyboard & mouse, can plug in our 1TB USB drive, and still have ports left over for memory cards and an additional monitor. Best part: it just worked - truly plug & play, even on a Mac.Highly recommended.
