This foot is very useful for sewing materials such as vinyl cloth, synthetic leather, thin leather, ctc. These materials are difficult to be fed when sewing but this foot can prevent such materials from crumpling. slipping or stickking between presser foot and materials thanks to even feeding upper and lower materials.
(Note: The product is not suitable for vintage sewing machines, mini sewing machines, industrial sewing machine, high handle sewing machines or inclined handle sewing machines.)
HOW TO ATTACH
Step 1: Raise the needle and cut the power off.
Step 2: Raise the presser foot and remove the presser foot.
Step 3: Loosen the presser foot holder screw and remove the presser foot holder.
Step 4: Fix the connecting lever of Walking foot to the needle fixing screw and install Walking foot on to the presser bar. Lower the presser foot and tighten presser foot holder screw.

I bought this open-toed walking foot because it is easy to see exactly where the needle is going, really important for quilting 'in the ditch.' It worked beautifully until it started falling apart.First the foot plate fell off. I'm pretty handy so I figured out how it attaches and tightened the metal arms that hold it in place. That worked for a while, then it happened again; I tightened a tad more.Then a tiny screw fell out. I saw that it goes into the white housing (There is a matching one on the other side.) and tried to put it back in with a tiny Phillips screwdriver while the foot was still on the machine. I couldn't get it to 'bite,' so I took the whole assembly off and got a better look. Doing that showed me the tiny screw goes into the arm that holds the foot plate on. I tightened it in, with foot plate secure (I thought), put the assembly back on the machine and resumed sewing. Then I started hearing noises that didnt sound like parts were moving smoothly, then the foot plate fell off again!I've decided to give up and finish my quilt with the walking foot that came with my machine. It may be harder to see where the needle is, but maybe it won't fall apart.By the way, I love the forked arm that fits on the needle bar to control the upper feed dogs (more reliable than the single, non-forked bar that sits on the top and can get stuck), and the quilting guide bar that slides snugly into the back of the white housing. Great features, just not well made. Too bad. Of course it's Made in China.

This foot made my quilting so much easier. It attached easily to my brother sewing machine. It also fits my singer as well so I have two options. Both are more modern machines. I don't believe this will fit my old in cabinet singer machine.Anyway it works great and gets the job done. Connects easily to pretty much any low shank machine and makes quilting multiple layers a breeze.

This was one of the more affordable walking feet so I was worried about the quality, but it worked great. It fits on both my Singer and Brother machines. It does have some plastic pieces so it might not last forever, but for the price it’s worth it!

** Update**Customer service is excellent, I was promptly provided a replacement. I hope this one lasts longer.Poorly made. On the second time using the metal guide broke. The broken guide makes using this foot pointless.

I received this walking foot in a timely manner, was packaged well. First thing I noticed was that while the box it came in was stamped Brother, it is just a universal type walking foot for a low shank machine. I had to get my husband attach it for me, not enough hands. The directions show attaching it by using a coin in the screw. That does not work on my machine, Brother SE1900. I was waiting for this to arrive, was in the middle of quilting project. Straight stitching, thin layers, minimal seams. The new walking foot broke with in two passes. The little prongs that fit in the foot to hold the bottom piece on are not long enough to hold it. Have to be careful putting it back together, the bottom piece has to be able to move to work the fabric. After the foot broke, it caused my needles and thread to break as well. The foot does not line up correctly. I had to make adjustments in order to have the stitching where needed.I should have read the 1 star reviews a bit better. If I didn't need it to finish up current projects, would consider returning it. However, according to the reviews, returns are a lot of trouble, and I can at least patch it back together enough to use until I can order and receive a new one...from a different seller.

Purchased to hem stretch knit work shirts. Nice foot for the price point. Fit my Brother machine perfectly. Arrived quickly. Would definitely recommend.

save yourself a lot of trouble. this product is junk. the base of the foot fell off a few times. after a few days of use, something gave way inside and deposited tiny shards of metal on faceplace of sewing machine. now the sewing machine is having trouble in bobbin area. you must return and pay shipping, a credit of 20$ would be credited, however, mailing address is in the States. shipping costs would be more than the shipping credit. item was shipped in a box that imitated Brother logo.
