This thing is great for the money. It reads the light level pretty damn accurately, although changes by a few dB when you spin it around on it a little. The lowest dB you get when you sorta spin it around usually is most accurate, but it's still within like 1dB difference. The visual fault locator also works very well. I was able to see my light easily from a house I was servicing, all the way back to the PFP down the street. I'd just advise you buy a long USB cord and wall jack adapter for this though, because often it will shut off the VFL after awhile, so it's best to plug it in when trying to find your port at the PFP or whatever. Ethernet tester is handy too!

I haven't charge it yet since day 1 of full charge. It works great and easy to use. Only issue is that the optical covers on top are a bit hard to open especially when you have short nails. Overall, price is affordable and fast shipping.

Great little tool for the field, as a technician in a large ISP company doing fiber with a meter built for coax not Epon is a chore to get immediate light levels. I set this thing to 1550nm, and got an accurate and instant reading. Plus the added VFL laser is very convenient. USB C, charging, Cat5 pin out fault detector. Worth its weight in gold. 5 Stars

So I used this for a couple months as I needed a cheap light meter. Figured why not. I had zero issues with this thing and it was maybe off +/- 0.5 db constantly. Used the RJ45 (Ethernet) pin out a couple times to check connectivity worked fine. Honestly a great little cheap add on for telco/comm techs.

The primary photo shows 2 piece but you'll receive only one. I now see where it aays you'll receive a meter but it's still misleading. The second piece is in many photos includong the primary image. It's intentionally made to look like a set. Nowhere does it say "not included".
