Universal Drip Fittings are designed with an insert barb and outer collar which ensure a tight connection across a range of 1/2-inch tubing sizes from 16mm to .710. This makes them especially useful for repairs of non-Orbit drip systems. The barb and collar design make it possible to remove and reuse the fittings. For Orbit and all other .700-inch tubing from major manufacturers we recommend Drip-Lock fittings because of their ease of insertion and release. For outdoor irrigation use with cold water only.

These adapters are among the best I've found--easy to install AND remove if needed. Several of the push-on type that come with some drip irrigation kits cannot be removed without destroying the tub or the fitting. Simple, inexpensive, and they work!

I have gone through three of the push/pull style 1/2" to hose thread connector and decided to give these a try. They work great. A little more work to install, but well worth the effort. Helps to heat the irrigation tubing in either water or a few swipes of a torch.The two I have installed have both survived several hard freezes with no splitting or leaking after thawing.

These Orbit 5 Pack 1/2 Inch Universal Hose to Faucet Adapter for Drip Irrigation Tube are super quick and easy to install and have remained drip free on my 4-zone drip irrigation timer. So much easier to use than the older style that slipped over the poly tube. Easier to remove a s well.

Item was supposed to fit 1/2' orbit drip tube and it does not. Didn't work for what I purchased it for, but it does work on a regular garden hose as a repair.

I got these for foreign 13 mm above ground tubing, noting that folks had had issues with the US tubing sizes. I think what others are saying is that it fits the 0.600 drip-style tubing but that the black PE tubing from the home center (that is hard and thick walls) doesn't. Most drip stuff doesn't work with that tubing that is intended for underground sprinklers.The 13mm tubing when warm (100dF) stretched over the barb fairly easily and then is clamped down by the flange at the bottom. My only issue is that when tightening the female hose fitting onto my (plastic) valve timer, the swivel fitting came loose and I had to dismantle and force it back on from the back side. The ring gasket was twisted, but now it doesn't leak and seems secure. Overall I'd be happier with a fixed female GHT fitting and a barb with a hose clamp, but this works... for now.
