But I have not used it yet, so maybe it can do a job of shampooing a carpet. Bristles are very soft, which might be a good thing. Maybe someone else can give a good review of what happens with the weight of the buffer on top of this.

The brush shown on the image is much more expensive than the one Amazon shipped me. You'll just get a less than $10.00 green brush instead of the one in the picture. These brushes are not returnable even if Amazon makes a shipping mistake. Besides which I already have a green brush from a previous order. I'm not happy about this error made by Amazon.
