Have a 10 year old Magnesium which started whining extremely loud. Replaced the fan, brush and seals but was still loud. This motor did the trick! Sounds like new and has restored power again. Half the cost of a new one locally!

This replacement motor operates fine, although I haven't used it very often yet. Getting to the motor is a little tricky, but Oreck has a manual on-line for disassembly.

My 10 y/o Oreck Magnesium was making some strange noises from the motor; sounded like the bearings were loosening up from many years of service. Everything else was in good shape; popped in this new motor and it’s like a brand new machine!
