Best thing about this bar is the value. Way cheaper then the box stores and Oregon is a good brand. So it's a win win.

Worked great with my Stihl MS 192 TC.Keep Good Tension on the chain (tighten as you go and it lasts)

This bar is well made and delivered promptly but appears too short for my Stihl 170 chain saw. Looking at two photos, one shows a finger pointing at the chain saw's blade tensioning post being extended as far as possible from the sprocket, which should shove the bar away from the sprocket as far as possible. The other photo shows that there is still slack in the chain with the bar fully extended. This is a USED CHAIN and so stretched some but it should nevertheless not be loose. A Stihl bar did tighten that chain. Holding the two bars with the tensioning posts holes lined up the Oregon bar was a little shorter.
