I have a corded Makita 16" chainsaw, and use it for clearing and cutting up trees around our property.This oil seems to be just the right viscosity for my particular saw, as it doesn't need the thicker oil more commonly used with gas powered units.My first bottle lasted me a few years, but finally ran out this fall. However, I made the mistake of trying another brand (Husqvarna) from a local 'tractor' store... upon reading their specification label more thoroughly, I realized their oil was going to be too thick for my electric chainsaw in cold weather.After returning the Husqvarna oil, I immediately ordered another bottle of this Oregon oil from Amazon... it arrived in a few days and my trusty Makita is now munching through wood again.
