Well made. Works great for putting 2.5" SATA drives into 5.25" drive bays. The plastic is sturdy and has embedded metal threaded inserts for mounting. Good value.

Most importantly, it works. I have an all-in-one computer that has a cage to hold the original 3.5" HDD, and the type of 2.5" adapter I had didn't position the SATA connector correctly. This one does, and everything is working properly.That being said, the included screws aren't long enough to install the 2.5" drive as shown. I thankfully had longer ones on hand. Likewise, screws to install the adapter itself are not included.

I buy these kinds of adapters a-lot, maybe in last year I bought over 100 of them. For the first time I wanted try this one, which is popped up in Amazon page. I bought three of them. I gave these 2 stars, just because they work, If I wasn't in rush I would return these. why? First, it is very cheap plastic, and its flimsy. Second, it comes only with 4 SSD screws, and one small screwdriver, no hard drive screws. Third, the screws' locations under the adapter are upside down, the side locations are correct. fourth, based on quality, the price is too high, I bought another brand, comes with all screws, screwdriver, and hard bag with zipper for storage. To be honest with you, I like ORICO brand, but this one is disappointing, I don't think I am going to buy this anymore.

These are a sleek product, however, I have had two SATA SSD’s suffer OS corruption while using this product. One instance was recoverable, however the second somehow destroyed the drives formatting. So make sure you are taking regular backups if you plan to use this device.I gave this product 3 stars, because I cannot 100% validate that this was the root cause. However, my other servers have had 365+ uptime with the same SATA SSD’s and have never had this issue. Could be a fluke, but make sure you are prepared for a total loss event.

I wanted to install in an old system a SSD but the computer bay was only for a 3.5 inch. This solved my problem easy.

Really pleased that I came across these adaptors, they not only make HDD swapping a breeze but because I can now use 2.5inch or 3.25inch drives in a single bay they take up much less space. I did have a bit of an issue in that the screws supplied were no long enough to screw into any of my SSD's but I have plenty of screws, so no big deal. I just wish I'd purchased more.

This is a well made adapter and the 2.5" HDD fits in well. However only the side fixings actually line up with a 3.5" HDD profile. If you wish to mount this adapter in a 3.5" caddy that uses the bottom fixings it is no good as the fixings positions on the adapter are the opposite way round for a 3.5" HDD profile. (See photo)Quite why they would do this I have no idea. What could have been an excellent multi use product is now limited to where you need to fit it.
