This is a really nice complete kit for beginners in origami. Some good designs and explanations, plenty of paper to start with. As a child, I learn these while living in Okinawa, I purchased these for some youngsters here in the states. I think it will help with their manual dexterity and broaden their scope of what people around the world do. It was a good gift for them

I got this for my 7-year old, who loves making paper anything. It comes with a booklet of instructions and plenty of colorful paper that’s just the right size for the creations. It was still a little too advanced for my child, and the instructions weren’t always great (I had to look online to compete some of them), but I really appreciated the lines and designs on the paper to help. Overall I would recommend, it’s a good kit for kids, but make sure an adult is available to help out, or you may get a frustrated child.

I had a hard time decoding the directions. My six year old cried. Wait until they are older and have patience.UPDATE: I was contacted about my review and would like to thank their customer service. Nov 2024. I originally gave a three, but changed my review. I stand by waiting until your child is older to keep them from frustration. Paper was quality, just directions were not good enough for my child.

This is an absolutely brilliant present for an older child. My 7-year old has loved following the instruction book and making all sorts of different things out of origami! Step-by-step pictorial instructions for each thing, easy to follow. And the paper is all provided, nicely printed to bring each creation to life. Fabulous, screen-free entertainment.

This is a great little kit, possibly slightly pitched a little high for age, my son is 7 and found some of the designs very hard to follow, I myself struggled! But he does love it and enjoys making lots of different shapes.
