It does look like a real cat however the purring sound isn't cat like. That may be due to the battery. I am going to try another one to see if that helps. And I was a little disappointed in the "breathing" feature. I think it would look more real if that area was a tad bit bigger. As it is now it looks mechanical which detracts from the experience. Although it is really very soothing without sound or movement. It's cute and soft. There is just something about seeing it in the little cat bed that is really calming. There were some hard glue spots in the hair but not enough to be upset about. The weight of it and structure is very life-like too. I wish the ears were less rigid but overall I'm happy with the purchase. I would recommend.

My daughter liked it in the beginning because of soft fur and generally cute look but after a day the "breathing" turned into wheezing and she stopped playing with it. Once you pick it up you realize how bad the quality is, there are patches of glue everywhere and parts are about to fall off.
