2016 Honda civic rear caliper needed to be screwed in clockwise using two pins spread about 1 inch apart. I don’t have a tool that could do this without causing damage. Bought this thing and it did it perfectly. That’s what I wanted and paid for. Now I have this for future, but even if list I’m still happy with work already done.

Nice quality and a complete set for easy caliper piston compression. I took a chance because this set is less than half the price of similar kits at retail and auto parts stores. I'm a shade tree mechanic at best, so these won't get extensive use, but should last decades in my room collection. Function is smooth and the adapters fit perfectly. I also like the hard shell case which will make the storage of this set easy. Very pleased with this purchase.

Works great, better than renting them from AutoZone

The set arrived and seems very comprehensive with a multitude of adapter plates to fit a variety of vehicles. Will it fit everything out there - probably not. But as the description itself even says, there is a good chance you'll find an adapter for most American, Japanese or European models. While Mazda wasn't explicitly listed anywhere in the manual, a quick review of the adapter plates identified a match for the calipers I was working with.Usage instructions are a bit vague. Video from the product page was quite a bit more helpful in assembling/using this tool than the paper manual that was included. Not saying the manual wasn't entirely accurate, but it left a bit to the imagination on a couple of the steps. Once you know how it all goes together and works, the tool itself is quite helpful and easy to use.One complaint would be the relatively thin T-handle used to twist the caliper piston back into place. Due to the size and material, this handle can easily bend if you need to put a lot of torque into moving the piston. Would be nicer to have a beefier handle that could hold up better.Plastic case is also on the thin side with a "cheap" feel to it. Just based on feel, it doesn't seem as though it will last terribly long if this is a tool that gets frequent use. For rare to occasional use, it will probably be fine. It is rather nice that there is a labeled place for everything to fit. If the case holds up, it will be great from an organizational standpoint.Overall, the tool worked well, and is likely something I won't use often, but will be nice to have if/when I do. For the price, it saves a lot of aggravation trying to make another tool work with some of these caliper designs the require the piston to be twisted rather than just compressed.

Disc brake caliper piston tool review.I've now had this set for a few years. Has a ton of discs for various makes and models. The teeth of the discs do their job and grip the piston dimples very well. The caliper hooks are good. They hold well. The retractor/compressor tool is solid. If you use it normally and don't try to compress a stuck piston, or a reverse piston, you shouldn't be breaking it. I laminated the included chart that identifies the discs and what vehicles they are for.The gloves were fine, had a but of a smell to them, but I wear nitrile gloves normally so I didn't actually use them. The case is good. It's blow molded, so one day I'm sure it will fail, but in the mean time, it holds all the parts in pretty well.My experiences with similar kits is using the ones off the tool truck$$$ and the parts store tool rental version. The tool truck is a bit more robust, but way more expensive. The parts store rental is similar quality, but cannot begin to compare to the variety of attachments or that this kit has both clockwise and counter clockwise piston detractors. The kit came with a cosmoline/oil coating on all the parts, and so far with very basic maintenance/ wipedown after use, has not rusted. All in all I highly recommend this kit for a DIYer it's a 10/10 must buy.An apprentice tech or someone not looking to blow the whole paycheck on the truck, it works and will pay for itself.

It’s nice to have a comprehensive kit that works with various vehicle types, ensuring I’m well-prepared for any brake maintenance task.If you're looking to handle brake maintenance yourself, this tool set is a must-have. It's affordable, durable, and covers a wide range of applications, making it ideal for anyone who prefers to tackle car repairs on their own.

Excellent set. The magnets aren’t very strong at all (they kinda suck) but the magnets don’t impede them from getting the job done at all. Can’t beat it for the price .

I work at a garage, and use this regularly. No issues with it at all, I did forget one of the caliper hooks on a vehicle... I'll never see that again lol. I definitely recommend this kit. Especially for at home use or newer technicians who aren't looking to spend and arm and a leg on the tool truck.
