These Quick Coupler Adapters are normally used as hose ends on a R134A Manifold Gauge for testing, removing and installing refrigerant. I had a high-pressure service port which was occasionally leaking and needed a Schrader valve replacement. These adapters have a manually closed and opened valve so when I installed them to replace caps on the two (Hi & Lo) service ports they prevented the service port valve from leaking. Worked perfectly and both can be left on the service ports while using the mobile air conditioner. The quick couplers prevented an expensive A/C servicing and parts replacement job. They fit perfectly and are correctly color coded for Hi & Lo pressure service ports.

Purchased to replace existing non-valved quick connects. This will allow much easier and controllable purging of the hoses. As mentioned by others, the stickers on the knobs have their arrows reversed, assuming the text means what it says. These work by pressing on the center of the a/c service port schrader valves (like the ones on your tires) to "open" them, allowing pressure readings, vacuum evacuation, etc. When the knobs on these adapters are turned ccw, their pins rise, closing the service port. When the knobs are turned cw, the pins descend, opening the port. The graphic arrows, at least on mine, point exactly the opposite of this action.Regardless, they are good quality. I used the o-rings from their included 1/2" adapters as the ones on my (admittedly cheap) gauge set fittings were too large diameter. I haven't tried these yet, so I'll have to see if o-rings are enough to seal the connections - the fitting flares do not bottom out when assembled but this may be normal.

Fit well, no leaks, good addition to the tool bag for sure.

I have to give credit where credit is due, I'm a universal certified industrial refrigeration tech, I work on MRI machines, chemical reactors, and frozen warehouses etc.For the price these are excellent, the collar and valve body appear to be make or of chromed steel, and the knob aluminum.Pulled a vacuum on my Cadillac with these quick connects, achieved and held 230 microns on my certified CPS digital micron Guage. The sticker on the knob is actually not "backwards" like some of the other reviews say, it shows "open" and a clockwise arrow (AKA front seated), that means OPEN TO THE SYSTEM. And vice versa.5/5 stars, compares wonderfully to the YellowJacket big brand name adapters ($75 per quick connect, $150 for the set) that one of my friends permanently "borrowed"
