For US Marine combat vet. CQB instructor.This brand holsters is the best. Easiest to use and most affordable.I now carry as a part of my job. Differ t comments require different weapons. With this system I just switch out the holster portion of the unit and attach it to either the belt clip or the leg drop portion and Iรขโฌโขm off.Comfortable after a 16 shift. Light and easy. Easy to take in and off if I must stop for gas on the way to/from work.And honestly very affordable.There are fancier. There are prettier. But for best function for money I go with this brand.This is my third holster with them. No issue at all yet.

I have a small 72 acre farm and like to carry a firearm for just-in-case while I am out working. This Orpaz G-17 holster has worked well. It is secure and durable. I bought the level 2 thumb release to assure the firearm would not accidentally fall out while Iรขโฌโขm working. The snug fit might have been enough but over time, who knows? The only time the holster is uncomfortable is when in a vehicle with the seatbelt secured.

Works for when I'm tired of wearing my heavy duty rig. The screws on the back are not really sturdy and have stripped a bit, so I get a little movement. Overall, it sits comfortably on my side, and the retention is good.

As with other Orpaz products, this is high quality relative to the price. The holster fits a Gen 5 G17, with plenty of open slide space for any optic. The one downside to this holster is that it doesn't "click" like many other level 1 retention holsters have - retention is friction only.This holster does not fit any kind of rail-mounted weapon light or laser.

Plastic is cheap nylon or something and not strong polymer as a holster should be, so it arrived slightly misshapen. When I put my gun in the holster it had to be jammed in with force pushing up on holster and down on the gun. Once in the holster the gun had to be pulled out using force with both hands making the one handed thumb release absolutely useless. This is all after I took the retention screw completely out of the holster which should make for zero retention. So the retention adjustment system is also useless. I can't imagine having it hooked onto a belt, or anything for that matter, and having to pull with such force without the off hand on it to hold it in place. Dangerous. Also, it is advertised as having full 360 rotation so it can be placed however you want, however there are only 3 locations available to secure it with the included screw making the 360 rotation total false advertising. This holster looks really nice, but it doesn't do anything it states that it does. Wish I could punch somebody in the face for wasting my time with their lies. Now I have to go out of my way to return this piece of garbage and hope I get my money back. Have a nice day.

This is probably the best holster of this type you can get. It is perfect for a gen 5 and fits super snug. And yes you need to dremel a small notch for the ambidextrous slide release but that take 30 seconds to do. I really like the build quality and the packaging and lifetime warranty are a very premium product.

The thumb release does not work as well as a safariland. It sticks quite a bit and gun does re holster well.
