Ortofon Concorde MK2 Mix

The MIX is a general-purpose model for scratch and back-cueing.

• Provides great performance and durability. It has a good quality spherical stylus, a solid cantilever, and serves general purposes well. • It offers both reasonable output, high sound quality and a good tracking ability for virtually any style of music. • With transparent sound across the spectrum and excellent handling ability, the MIX represents one of the longest running values in DJ cartridges.

How to replace a stylus

Firstly lock the turntable tone arm, unscrew the cartridge, gently remove the stylus from the cartridge and insert a new stylus. A stylus is changed usually by pulling straight out and in the opposite direction of the turntable's arm. If the stylus doesn't come with directions, try these: with one hand, hold the cartridge to steady it. With the other hand, using a pair of tweezers, grasp the stylus from both sides and pull. Install the new stylus: holding the stylus from the top, press it gently into the space at the tip of the cartridge where the old stylus had been. Don't force it.

Proper care comprises the following:

Cleaning of record by means of carbon fibre brush before and after every use. Cleaning of record by using record cleaning machine once in a while.

Cleaning of stylus by means of a fine antistatic brush. Please remember to remove dust from the diamond tip before and after playback of each record. Use the brush in the forward direction from the rear of the cartridge towards the stylus tip and never from stylus tip to the rear of the cartridge and never from side to side.

Proper adjustment of antiskating, azimuth and tracking force.

Options and Replacement Styli

The Concorde MK2 Series is available for purchase as either a single cartridge or a "Twin" set including two cartridges (both with pre-installed styli) and an aluminum flight case.

Replacement styli for all the Concorde MK2 series retains the cartridges name for easily finding your direct replacement.

100 percent happy. You can not go wrong with Ortofon. They've got their products down to a science. I have had different pairs in the past, including the 'Club', and 'Dj' series, and they continue to shine with the 'Mix' series. They sound beautiful. Very clear and detailed. I am still in the process of breaking them in (20 hours+ is the recommendation) and if they sound this good now, I know I am in for a real treat.Build construction is top notch. Ortofon has upgraded the lever, and its also replaceable.After I have had some more time with these, I will add a better review of them.

Been on the SHURE thing since 1988. Picked up a pair of these to play open format sets in a bar through a sub-par sound system, they sound pretty damn good through all types and condition of records. Love seeing the stylus. Not saying they are as steady as some 44s but for the price and availability I am sold.,

I just bought a Technics sl 1200 mk 7 and these Concords are amazing with clean and clear sound. I use 3 grams as recommended and so far I have no issues. Just make sure to put on the protective cover when not in use and they will last a very long time.

I purchased these to replace some 10 year old ortofons. First use was a very quick session to confirm all my equipment still worked and so I didn’t pay attention to the output level on my mixer. On second use I noticed I didn’t have sound on one side of my headphones. Initially I thought it was a problem with my mixer… until I noticed that the output level was way low on the side that worked. I swapped the cartridge for one of my older ones, which provided full output on both channels. I’m not sure what has happened to Ortofon, but brand new cartridge/stylus pairs should not fail out of the box

高音は気持ち良いけど低音はちょっと弱いかも。トータルして使いやすさと安定感があります。コスパは良いと感じています。＊音に関しては好みは人それぞれなので　あくまでも個人的感想です。

Hey, si te estás iniciando en el mixing o mejor aun en el scratching (o ambas) y te quieres upgreadar o son tus primeros cartridges concorde y andas evaluando, ve por esto, no lo pienses. Gran precio, gran calidad de sonido y sobre todo "gran tracking", estas cosas literalmente no se mueven nada, se pegan ALV (no me imagino cómo han de estar las scratching)
