This guitar arrived today. I love it. A dear friend recently fell asleep in death. She loved purple, so her daughters had bought her this guitar. I had not seen it, but we had them bring it to her memorial, and we put it on the stage beside the podium. Afterward, my husband found it on Amazon, thinking it would be a lovely, nostalgic memento for me to own. I weighed it out for a few weeks. The reviews were very favorable. Finally we pulled the trigger. It is beautiful and I love its sound. I will enjoy playing this jewel for many hours to come.

I’ve had Oscar Schmidt guitars before they are a pretty good quality for the cost, when buying this one I was under the impression I was getting a used one. HOWEVER... what I got in the mail blew my mind. I live in Wisconsin and it’s winter. Anybody who plays a wooden instrument knows what the weather could do VERY quickly... I always insisted on playing any guitar before I bought it to see if anything was wrong with it. I was dreading what the worst case scenario would be for buying something like this offline. There’s ALWAYS something a little off... instead. What I got in the mail was a BRAND friggin NEW BEAUTIFUL guitar with a sound that rivals my buddies $700 guitar he bought used. This thing is BEAUTIFUL with mother of Pearl inlays, a VIBRANT crimson red (my favorite color) and it came with a limited lifetime warranted from Oscar Schmidt. The battery in the electronics was dead but it came with a replacement. The sound is amazing in this thing. The electronics work perfectly and it even has a hookup for plugging into a PA system as well as the standard guitar jack. The neck was almost perfectly straight. The first fret buzzed a little bit when I first got it. I tried to adjust the but on the truss rod and it wouldn’t turn right away (NEVER force these) I was gonna take it in and have it professionally done for $10. I played it for a week or two and today I was gonna take it in. I had a few different Allen keys and I wanted to make sure I grabbed the right one and sure enough when I was seeing if it was the right fit it turned almost by magic and clicked into the perfect place getting rid of the buzz on the first fret and saving me $10. This guitar is everything I wanted and more. I might be going on tour with a buddy in 6 months and this is coming with me hands down. When they shipped it to me not only was it vacuum sealed in a bag it was surrounded by spray foam insulating it from the elements and keeping it in top shaped (that floored me guys) this baby is worth triple what I paid for it and I would HIGHlY recommend this to anybody from a beginner to an advanced player. I can’t thank you guys enough, I have 13 guitars and this is my favorite acoustic. As for the electric aspect it’s tied with my fender. It looks amazing and sounds better. Thank you for my first actual great online purchase. If I could I’d give you 10*TLDR: this guitar is perfect in every single way. Price looks sound shipping style and cost. HIGHLY recommend!

It is the 2nd identical guitar that I bought in a different color and I bought it for my wife. I have the same one and there I learned to play guitar. I like its sound and the quality for its price, very well made.

This item was packaged within the package to ensure you didn’t know what was being shipped. It had great protection inside to prevent damage in transit.We haven’t tried it because it’s a Christmas present but the look is quality for sure.

9 volt battery last 2 days, I have replaced the battery 5 times something in the electronics drains the battery within 2 days of playing 1 hour per day.

Bought this guitar as a birthday gift for my twin brother. We are The Tremaines - Composers/ Musicians/ Recording Artists who have been playing guitars for over 50 years. This guitar was fabulous right out of the carefully packed box - just tuned it up and it was way better than expected. Liked it so much I ordered a blue one for myself. We even named green guitar: "Evergreen" & my blue one, "Blue Jay". We had our luthier friend smooth out the frets a little so there are no sharp edges now - sharp frets can come with expensive guitars too btw. We love these guitars and will be showcasing them on many of our Youtube videos. Thank You Oscar Schmidt & Washburn for these beautiful guitars. We recommend these to all levels of guitar players.

Its a really cool looking 🎸. My son watches YouTube videos and plays along with them. He will start taking lessons soon. I even bought a guitar strap that matched the flag print on guitar. The guitar strings could be better and also it could stay in tune better. But all in all its great.

I am a new to intermediate guitar player. I am learning via youtube. This guitar is great. Easy to play the harder chords on and has a great sound for someone who just wants to strum on the back patio. Highly recommend for the price
