Was needing a detail sander but already had a cheapo harbor freight reciprocating saw and came across this item and I have to say, it fits my saw perfectly and functions great. The sand paper lasts a good amount of time and this saved me money.

this re[laced an older pad. the fact that you can slip these new pads in and out without completely disassembling the tool is very useful and time saving. they gripped the sanding disc well.

This sanding base attachment for oscillating tools is from vendor Wenestr. After examination and testing, we found things to like and things we found disappointing. First, the things to like:1. It is of decent construction and does fit many oscillating tools, especially our Chicago Electric tool.2. It features the relatively easy screw in/out to release feature used by most oscillating tools.3. It accepts the standard 3 1/8" triangular sandpaper pads.4. It offers the traditional hook and loop interface between its base and the back of the triangular pads.5. It can serve as a replacement attachment with no problems and do a decent job.We found the following things to be issues:1. It's design is different than most OEM sanding bases. In one of the photos we show how thick this black attachment is compared to typical OEM bases. The reason is that this base is manufactured with the attachment interface attached to the outside of the pad, and not incorporated into the pad. This extra thickness can serve to hinder use in tight situations with limited height access.2. We found the hook and loop surface of the base to be not as "grabbing" and "sticky" as our OEM base. So, when we applied the triangular sandpaper to the base, we had to press down along all three sides and the center for the sandpaper to fully stick to the base. No other oscillating sanding base attachment in our tool supply has required this added effort.3. The current price point of the vendor is above average compared to other vendors on the Amazon Marketplace offering similar units, often with several bases and added sandpaper in the package in order to generate a lower cost per unit for their bases.Overall, with some additional attention, this sanding base does work and does a decent job. However, we would suggest looking at what other vendors on Amazon are offering for similar bases before making a final purchase decision.
