This works perfect for most idler/pitman arms but I did find it didn't fit some very large 1ton pitman arms on it own but just grabbing some longer bolts for it does the trick. Great product for the price feels like good quality and durability.

Impressive! I struggled with several cheap pullers before investing the extra money for this monster. The cheap pullers all failed attempting to separate the idler arm from the cross link on my silverado. Hammering on a pickle fork would not separate the joint. Even beating on the tapered end with a sledge hammer would not cause it to budge. When this thing arrived, the first thing I noticed was how heavy it is. It is really heavy duty. The included adapters came in handy making a secure fit on the end of the taper joint. Several cranks with a 15 inch crescent wrench and the joint popped apart. Done!

My OTC puller broke after many years of faithful service. Tried to order the part to repair it and was quoted $141 for a complete tool. Can buy from many other vendors for $85.Was told by OTC that I could not buy any parts for this puller. That just doesn’t make sense. There are many other tool vendors making this and other tools. Goodbye OTC

This puler is a fair item to be used on pitman arms etc. It is kind thick but will with stand the pulling of some of these hard to remove joints. Use a thin oil of some kin d first and let it stand before using the tool!--- Billy A&P mechanic

It pulled a pitman arm that had broken two lesser pullers. Works well.

every time I had to pull a pitman arm of a gear box it has been a struggle, with getting torches etc. with this puller, 1 quick zap with a good impact a boom it comes off. I may not have to take the gear box completely off the truck to change the arm and start making money on these jobs. The first time I used this tool I was changing the box - still worked awesome

After trying and subsequently breaking all my other pit man arm pullers trying to remove a pit man arm on an old dodge pickup, I purchased this Pitman arm puller and It removed it like it was nothing. This thing is Solid.

I totally recommend this tool, I used my impact on it- close to 650ft/lbs and shock loaded it with a hammer and torqued 7 times until the pitman arm came loose. Tough unit for the price!

They sent me an aluminum one instead of the one shown in their pictures. On top of that the jars are too thick to fit.

Worked as advertised, pulled the original pitman arm off my 2011 ram 3500 with ease.

Big, heavy, strong puller. I bent and stripped the threads out of one of those cheap cast pullers trying to pull the pitman arm off my 88 cherokee. Only 4 stars because the cross bolts with the wingnuts are weak. The threads stripped and jammed the nuts. Held on long enough to do the job but replace these with gr 8 nuts and bolts are you're good to go.
