I love the thick glass and the old fashioned greenish color to the bottle. The size is perfect for our homemade holiday drink. Everyone loved them and asked where I bought them. I wouod definitely order more. The price is good and the bottles are pretty sturdy. Definitely not light bottles.

I got these bottles for fermenting my own ginger beer at home. The bottles arrived all in one piece, no chips or cracks in the glass, which is always a fear of mine when buying glass online.The swing lock mechanism has very little slop in it so it is easy to use and doesn't feel weak of flimsy. The seal is great, no problems with leaks at all. They even provide extra rubber grommets if any get damaged or worn out. They looks great and have worked well for me so far and definitely have a durable feel to them.As for cleaning, the mouth is narrower than the body, you know, like a bottle. So they aren't the easiest to clean but that's at no fault of the product. Using the right tools or methods make cleaning a breeze, just don't expect to be able to get your hand in there.If I start making bigger batches or more things, I will definitely be getting more of these specific bottles.

I order these Otis bottles every year before the holidays to fill with Limoncello to give out for the holidays. This year I'm switching it up for homemade Bailey's. These bottles keep what's inside well sealed well. Now the only question is: Is the brew inside THAT good that it's gone before it can go bad, or does the seal work well enough to keep it longer? :-)The bottles must be good... I only get half of them back to fill with my next batch.

I purchased these bottles for Coquito. My husband took them to work and everybody was like they are so pretty! Perfect size, well made. The labels and chalk marker are a big plus! After washing, the label stays intact and the writing comes off very easily.The only thing I didn’t like was that I shared this product with a friend and hers came without the labels and the marker.

My experience with this product and vendor has been an interesting one, this review is an update to a 1 star initial impression which I deleted. In short, I was accommodated greatly by the vendor, after receiving a two defective shipments back to back. As a result, I have been on the fence on giving a 5 versus 4 star rating, but considering the quality of the final product I received, and after putting it through fairly tough testing, I see no reason why 5 stars is unwarranted. If you care to see the details of my experience, read on-----My first shipment of 6 bottles arrived with 1 bottle broken. Upon inspection, the glass was cracked due to an imperfection (the packing was wonderful, and there was no visible damage to the outer package at all), one rather large bubble had begun breaking the glass and growing outward. I received an email from their customer service after placing the order indicating that they would have a hassle free solution for any defective products, and so I took a picture, and explained the situation. To my dissatisfaction, they responded by refunding the cost of a single bottle. [An aside: Personally, I don't feel this is an adequate solution, I would much rather replace the entire package, if I order 6 bottles, I expect to have 6 bottles, not 5 plus a refund. I realize this is my opinion, but even after the rest of these events, I still would have expected an exchange.] Admittedly, I misread the response from the customer service representative. I read their response as though they expected me to purchase -another- shipment with my refund, but they were explaining the refund reduced the cost of my first shipment. They have no way of shipping a single bottle, they can only be purchased in the full pack. I responded saying this solution was not acceptable, and the vendor refunded my entire first order.Still in need of that extra bottle, I placed a second order with my refund, in good faith from the support I had received. The second order arrived completely intact, not a single issue. I went about my routine, and bottled a batch of kombucha in 6 bottles. During second fermentation, I burped the bottles, and after resealing one, heard glass starting to crack. I emptied the bottle, and found that the glass started to break on the bottom, in another imperfection in the glass - another cluster of bubbles. The rest of the bottles went as expected, and went on without issue. Because of my experience, I wrote my initial 1 star review.I was contacted by Annie, who identified herself as one of the owners of Otis Classic, in response to my review. We exchanged messages through Amazon, and eventually had a call to chat about my experience. Annie helped to find the misunderstanding between myself and the customer service representative, and wanted to make sure I received an accurate representation of their product. [To reiterate, the 'misunderstanding' was my own - Frances from Otis Classic's Customer Support team was very helpful and clear, I misread a key part of their response. Still, even with my own misunderstanding, Frances still tried to help make things right.] Annie refunded my second purchase, and sent me a third order, at no cost to me. In return, I feel as though I owe a proper review of the product.Using exclusively this third shipment, I have just completed a batch of second fermentation of kombucha, untouched for around 80 hours. I experienced no cracks or breaking, no seals leaked, and have had no issues with the flip tops opening or closing. This third shipment is what I expected to receive from the start. At this point, I cannot personally be confident of the quality of my next shipment, however I can say that I will continue to purchase from this vendor, and that the quality of other reviews keeps me from being concerned that my next order will have any issues.

I like the design. It truly gives a vintage vibe. It seals well. Just love it.

These bottles arrived in two days, with no breakage. They are clear, solid glass with flip top caps that have extra silicone seals. Included are a ‘chalk’ (white) pen, a set of labels, and plenty of bubble wrap to play with. The bottles were washed and sterilized for this year’s limoncello vintage. The perfect size for holiday gift giving.

These bottles worked well - I haven’t tried cleaning them yet - I would think you need a pipe cleaning brush to get a good clean inside the bottleI just boiled water and poured it in before my first useThey are very sturdy bottles and the flip top works very wellMade lovely Kombucha

The bottles are excellent quality for fermentation and the pen and labels a practical extra.
