My wife's recurve was one of the loudest bows I've ever heard, we ordered these to help solve that issue and they worked great. They look awesome, and they have held up to the abuse of a beginning archer and made a huge difference in the noise and the shock of the bow. These work perfectly on a traditional recurve bow. Very effective at quietening that after-shot "Hmmm" from the string. It will not deaden the *SNAP* from your bow. Getting it to the ideal spot where it can cancel the most vibration becomes almost irrelevant as these silencers spread out on the string. Much easier to get it right than the old string jacks and rubber band ball silencers we used on compound bows years ago. I never leave my bow strung when I'm not using it, and I've not had any issues with these silencers falling off or coming undone. When installing, try to not trap a lot of hair under your wraps, spread it out and let the full effect of the fur show when you're done. The mass of the skin and the aerodynamics of the fur combine to silence the hum.

Never owned one or installed before. I tried to get a tight wrap around my bow string and accidently ripped in half. The good news is that 2 halves are perfect for my bow and now I have a whole other strand for another bow. Vibration basically gone. Shooting noise is quiet and pretty awesome sounding little whip.

Bought these for my wife's recurve bow. Shes only been using them for a short time but so far they seem to be holding up well. Once you figure out the installation, it's easy. YouTube can help with this. Can't be certain what it's made from or what animal, but they work and look good too! She's happy!

Pleasantly surprised with these silencers. The are easy to install and work to silence vibration from the string. Even better than my beaver fur. I will definitely buy this again.

Worried I might get a pair of uneven silencers (as some have received), I bought two pairs (total of four strips). One pair was definitely fluffier than the other but they both worked equally the same; size really does not matter, but the company does their best to make sure your balls are evenly matched. They are both great at silencing the bow and they look better than beaver balls (in my opinion). It also slightly reduced the vibration felt through the riser after an arrow is released.After a couple of months of outdoor and indoor use, these balls maintain their integrity.

The product is reasonably good but my order was months late. Ordered a replacement only to have the original arrive weeks after the replacement. Too much hassle for a cheap product.
