Honestly, I bought this because it was on sale and it was what I was looking for, but I’ve been blown away by the durability of this phone case. For $20 (what I bought it for), it takes care of everything I needed, the buttons are still very accessible, the sound is still perfect, it fits around the phone excellently and makes me lose all concerns when I drop my phone.

Had the case for 4 years now and the silicone finally broke by one of the buttons. 2020 version didnt charge wirelessly seems the 2024 are having the same misrep. Ive dropped it many times over the 4 years and took like a champ. Ive read some of the bad reviews of the newer ones for this model and hoping its still a solid product when I order a new one

I previously had an Otterbox Commuter case for my Gen 1 Pixel phone and was disappointed when none was available for iPhone with MagSafe. Now, the Commuter case is MagSafe compatible (mostly), and it's great!The Commuter case is better than the rest because:1. Superb protection with its soft inner liner and hard TPU outer shell2. Lightning port protection with a flap that securely covers the port3. Very tactile and responsive buttons4. Perfect compatibility with *all* edge-to-edge screen protectors5. Grippy surface that does not grip dirt and pocket-lint6. Doesn't add unreasonable bulk7. The case itself seems impervious to damage8. Super easy to put on and remove9. Slides easily in/out of pocketsWith the lightning port cover, the case is so much more comfortable to hold than any other case (including other Otterbox cases) because there is no open case edge digging into the finger used in that spot to hold the device.My only minor issue is that the thickness of the case makes the MagSafe connection very weak. I have not had issues with this increasing charging times. Once connected, it's always connected, but I do always need to make doubly sure the device is connected. If you use a MagSafe connection in the car, the vibration would likely interrupt charging.The Otterbox Commuter will always be my top recommendation.

Otter cases are my go to for me and anyone looking for a recommendation. They fit well and hold up for the life of your phone and if it’s MagSafe it will always work when charging

I have always used Otterboxes on my wife and my phone as well as our two daughters’ phones. No of us have ever broken a phone and I have always attributed that to the Otterboxes. I thought tonight might have been the exception though. My phone popped off of its mount on my road bike and went for a tumble down the asphalt at about 25 mph. When I got to it I was scared to pick it up but it survived unscathed. Thank you Otterbox!
