I did a lot of comparisions before making my decision to purchase this gaiter. I am a women and purchased the men's gaiter. I don't know why it would matter, this works perfect. This is unique due to the elastic bottom which securely fits your boot, so absolutely no snow can get into your boot. And the hook fits and attaches to my Keen boots perfect. Also, it keeps my a little bit warmer due to wind protection. I haven't used it in the rain. Outdoor resarch makes great products and I am very happy with the purchase. I would recommend this product.

Our last pairs had elastic around the top of the calf that wore out over time. These have a pull strap with plastic cam lock. I'm anxious to see how they hold up. I used them for chain sawing wood yesterday and they worked like a dream! I was in shorts(I usually am regardless of weather, or job) and I found no sawdust when I pulled them off!My wife has used them in the snow several times and the thank you kisses tell me they must be working!I would measure your calf size with whatever clothing you plan to wear under to determine size. This guide that came with my compression socks and was accurate for my mediums. I don't know if sizing is industry standard but I know shoe size has little or nothing to do with gaiter size!Four thumbs up!

I ordered based on the size chart on the OR website. I am a woman and wear a size 8-8.5 in mens shoes so I bought the medium. They do fit my shoes well (my snow boots are men's size 8) but the calf enclosure at the top I have to cinch quite tight to make them stay up. So, I'd say if you larger calves you'd be fine in these. They do stay put, I just have quite a bit of strap flapping around so perhaps I'll trim it. I have worn these for snowshoeing and they work quite nicely to keep the snow out of my boots.

I live in wonderful New England. In the Winter if it isn't raining, then it's probably snowing. And if the weather can't be described by that then it is probably doing both. That being said, shoveling can be a real pain. Whenever I'm out shoveling/snow blowing/I've chipping/etc my pants would always get wet and frozen. Not with these!!! I wish I had found a pair earlier! That slip right over my waterproof hiking boots and the rigid hook fits on to the laces nice and snug. I really like these and they have different sizes to accommodate smaller or larger boots (which is important so that the front rigid gaiter will hook the first laces).Because they keep my legs warmer, dry, look pretty cool, and keep the snow out of my pants while I'm cleaning of my car, and are very affordable, I gave these 5 stars.I hope you found this review helpful!

so i decided to pick up golfing... for some reason .... but i hate how i get grass and who-knows-what on my pant legs as i walk the course. these do the trick. i ordered medium... probably should have went with small, as the top strap is at its tightest, but doesn't seem to really hug my leg. the velcro strap running up the gaiters seem very sturdy that these won't be falling down, if i'm not running.

I own 3 pairs of these Outdoor Research Men's Rocky Mountain High Gaiters.The newest one, purchased only a year ago (and maybe used a few dozen times), has a broken top buckle, making them useless. See picture.Otherwise they were great. Sure wish they would test and use better materials.

I highly recommend these gaiters! I used them every single day for 14 days straight in eastern Nevada back-country climbing over very sharp limestone and coarse-grained sandstone and the leather strap totally held up! They fit very well and provided great protection from very "pokey" native plants.Because the closure is Velcro a lot of thistles would get embedded in the crease, but I'd rather have that than embedded in my pants or legs. They don't breath very well (I didn't expect them to) so my legs sweat in the 95+ degree heat. The dark color also made my feet heat up more than usual when standing in direct sunlight - but these are very minor (non) issues but thought I should mention for prospective buyers.

Das saubere Schließen vom Klett ist ein Geduldspiel in einer sehr unbequemen Körperhaltung.Und unten über dem Schuh alles andere als vertrauenserweckend. Noch schlechter sind sie über der Wade abzudichten, weil das Flachband in der Öse null rutscht.Das Material ist dick und robust aber die praktische Anwendung viel zu umständlich.Den Kkett vor dem Reinschlüpfen zu 70% zu schließen u. voher oben das Band mit Kraft zu raffen, hilft "ein wenig". Keine Empfehlung.

Very well made, I believe that all Outdoor Research products have a life time warranty, I have not used them yet, but fall is here and winter is approaching. I will update in the future.
