This is a very nice decorative outdoor lantern. It is also bright enough to be functional at night to light up a portion of a path, or just anywhere you want to shed a little light on that is not a floodlight.The lantern is wrapped with like a plastic rattan material, similar to those outdoor wicker chairs. The plastic housing of the light appears to be durable enough to withstand the elements. At this point, I have had the lantern outside my front door without any shade and it has held up well.I would have liked to have seen the entire tube glow just a little bit brighter. But this appears to already be better than most competition out there. On this lantern you will get more light than you thought possible from a tiny solar panel.

Item was damaged due to poor packaging and the black paint on the base was flaking off. I received a replacement which arrived undamaged, however the paint was still flaking off. I did order another, it too has the paint flaking off. We'll see how long it lasts.

It creates a warm glow, which is exactly what i wanted & needed on my back patio. I like to sit out there at night, but all the lights i have are SO BRIGHT. I wanted something that would illuminate the stoop up to the house and a little bit of the patio. This is perfect. It does really make the backyard feel homey & cozy. It kicks on just as dusk is fading into night. With outdoor lighting often having crazy prices, this one's okay... it could be cheaper. For one, mine only came with 1 ground peg. Without the ground pegs you cannot put this on uneven surfaces. I've got mine next to the house, so it's supported a bit. I like it & it's lightweight so it's easy to move around. But it could be cheaper, could be sturdier & could be made from better materials. This will not last you decades. BUT, if you want a nice warm glow to illuminate a small area and only expect to have the light for a few years, this will suit you just fine!

This wicker outdoor floor lamp is gorgeous! It will add a touch of fancy to any patio, but it does have good and bad features. It's extremely light weight, which is great for shipping, but that's bad if you plan to leave it outdoors on a cement surface. This lamp went flying the first time we had a storm. Others have mentioned that it will be fine if you use the stakes, and it would, but that won't work on a cement patio. I may try to find some way to add a weight to the bottom of it to try to keep it in place. The solar panel and lights appear to be waterproof as they flew off and flipped over in our storm and they are just fine. Even though the whole lamp went for a ride in the wind and rain, it came out without a scratch, so that's impressive to me. The style of this lamp is beautiful and it gives me resort vibes, and I am totally digging it!

This product was damaged when I took it out of the box. It was not packaged well at all and the webbing was coming apart. It was not as good quality as I expected.
