The base has to be on perfectly level ground with zero breeze in the air to work. I thought this would be a super fun engaging toy for my toddler, but it ended up being super frustrating to use. Anytime the slightest breeze would blow the rocket would loose its balance and fly off, we'd have to turn the hose off, reset it, and start again. Also, finding the perfect level spot for the base to sit was nearly impossible, we had to set it on the concrete which isn't the best place to play in the sprinkler.

It's cute--5☆ for that. My son is a rocket scientist & thought it would be good for him to use to water his garden. It was/is missing the quick connect piece & my husband had to modify it to get it to work-- took a while. The hose threads didn't quite mesh with the rocket base, so adding a gasket to the female end helped secure the hose to the rocket base. It does work, but if the water pressure is higher than it likes, the rocket falls off the spray. 2☆ for the rest of the purchase. Don't think I'd buy again.

This was a cool activity for my children and I to do. We found the rocket to be very durable, we had no issues with it breaking. We also found it to work exactly how it said it would. The instructions were self explanatory and easy. The age range is perfect.

The very top plastic piece cracked after falling a few times on the concrete, so of course only use it on grass. You can put the thing that goes in the air on while the water is still on, you don’t have to turn it off each time. It only goes about 7 feet high Without falling which is good but it actually will go like 12 feet and then fall, If water is too high. Still neat though. However, if the very top plastic piece breaks, it won’t work.

There are 6 holes that create a jet to lift the rocket. One is not lined up right so every time the rocket get higher than 3 feet, the one stream of water knocks it off the jet. Also it leaks at the connection, with a rubber gasket in. 100% would not recommend. It’s a cool idea, but this cheap junk doesn’t work!
