Well packaged arrived promptly fair price. It was really easy to use the tool to check the alignment after I reinstalled the motor and outdrive. I suspect a lot more work would have been required if adjustment of the motor was requires.

The tool I just received does not fit! I was trying to use it on a Mercruiser 260 with Alpha One drive. The end that is supposed to fit the engine coupler is not made to spec. I measured 26.65mm where it's supposed to be 25.65mm. I see similar reviews now where other customers had the same issue. I suggest to check your stock before sending out more tools that don't fit

New tool, new bearing. Was a little stiff for my liking engaging the new bearing, but that is to be expected. Took some 240 grit emory to the chamfers at the steps and oiled the shaft. Like butter through the whole range. Nice job Lostar!

This tool is a heavy duty piece of steel. I'm hoping I'll only ever have to use it once but if needed, this bad boy should be around longer than me. Used to align the gimbal bearing with the engine coupler, it's almost fool proof to test your work. Use care not to drop it on your foot otherwise your water skiing summer season will be over before it starts.

Alignment tool worked perfect on Volvo Penta SX. High quality and very heavy duty. New to me boat engine mounts were low causing outdrive shaft to not go in. Tool allowed me to align gimbal bearing to engine coupler perfectly.

This tool does not it my Volvo penta outdrive SX-M as it states it does for part 3851083. Do not buy this tool it’s too big for spline. I will return and bought the Sierra 18-4442 that is slightly smaller at diameter and fits. Good luck.
