LOOKING FOR A WAY TO FIX THAT SUNKEN OUTLET?
If you just transferred to an old home or apartment, chances are you'll find one or two electrical outlets that have sunken deep into the wall. Or maybe you just had some new wood panels installed over your walls that caused the sockets to sink back a few centimeters. In any case, these sockets can be a headache. Apart from being annoying and often causing the cover plates to break, they're also triggers for some really serious fire damage. Is there any way to fix these problematic outlets without having to bring in the pros?
This Outlet Box Extender Kit from SPACERR will help you raise those recessed electrical outlets so you can safely and conveniently use them again!

RAISE THOSE RECESSED OUTLETS
Each one of your electrical outlets should sit snugly in your walls for support. If they're pushed too far back, they lose this support and rely instead on the electrical box behind them. And whenever you plug a power plug in and pull it out, the receptacle moves and causes some wires to come loose. To keep this from happening, use our extenders to push the receptacle forward and make it flush with your walls.

STABILIZE THOSE FLOATING OUTLETS
A floating outlet is just as bad as a recessed one, and most of the time it's the cover plate that's holding the outlet in place. When you plug and unplug a power plug into the socket, much of the stress goes into the plate. Over time, this will cause the plate to crack or break. Our electric box spacers can help to steady these floating outlets and make them more secure and stable.

KEEP YOUR FAMILY & PROPERTY SAFE
Fixing a recessed, floating, or wonky electrical outlet is more than just aesthetics and function; it's all about safety as well. Improperly installed outlets are serious fire hazards since the loose wires behind them can cause sparks that may eventually escalate to full-scale fires.
MORE REASONS TO LOVE OUR ELECTRIC BOX SPACERS:
USE WITH VARIOUS WALL MATERIALS
It's common for different walls in a single property to be made of different materials. You may have wood panels in your bedroom, while your living room may have shiplap. You may have a granite backsplash in your kitchen and have tiles walls in your bathroom. If you have recessed or floating electrical outlets in these walls, don't worry because our spacers work with all of them and other wall materials.
COMPLETE KIT & TOOLS
Our electric box extender kit has everything you need to raise those recessed electrical outlets. Upon purchase, you'll receive (6 pcs.) red spacers, (4 pcs.) 2" screws for deeper recessed outlets, and (12 pcs.) 1.5" screws. All these come in a handy resealable bag which you can use to store unused spacers and screws for future use. For the installation, you will need a ruler or tape measure, sharp scissors or a utility knife to cut the rubber spacers, and a screwdriver.
STEP-BY-STEP INSTALLATION
You don't need to call an electrician to install these spacers as long as you follow all the safety precautions, first of which is turning off your main power panel and flipping the circuit breaker to "OFF" (PRO TIP: Use a Voltage Tester Pen to check there is no power to the outlets you are fixing) . After that, it's just a matter of removing the cover plate, preparing and installing the spacers, and screwing everything back into place. If you need more help, refer to the back of the packaging or watch our 1-minute instruction video.
