I was honestly not expecting these to be real suede for the price, but they are. I like them a lot because of how easy they are to put on/take off and I have not had any issues with stitching yet. I only just started wearing them but they seem solid unless you yank at the tabs a lot. The stitching seems solid enough, and I can't imagine it will be a major problem except with high frequency wear. I'm a hobby rider (a few times a week max) but will update the review if I experience the same issue other reviewers have had. As far as I can tell, the price/quality ratio is excellent

Yes, these are incredibly old-style, but I'm old enough not to care. I love not having to fuss with any zipper, and this style fits over the various types of riding boots/paddock boots that I use. I wore my old pair until they turned into shiny leather, and it wasn't that easy to find this style. The velcro is easy on the fingers while removing and a quick slap of the hand when putting on.

Overall good looking product, however I would not recommend buying unless you are comfortable stitching leather. Both lower leather tabs ripped half off with one try on and removal (not even a single ride). I’ve had similar half chaps for ten years without any ripping of stitches (just the stretching of the elastic at the bottom over a decade).

I have a pair of zippered half chaps too but much prefer the ease of velcro.

The size chart was extremely helpful and the chaps are a perfect fit! I am a disabled rider and they came just in time for myNext therapeutic riding session. I wore chaps at my last session that although too large they enabled me to sit and ride at the trot
