I loved the look that the frame added to my holiday table. However, I didn’t anticipate that the placement of the clamps wouldn’t work because I sat guests on each end of the table, so I had to set the frame diagonally. The length turned out to be a few inches short, but I didn’t want to return the item because I had my vision for the table.I had to “Macgyver†a solution to add about 3 inches to the frame and was very pleased with the overall results.

I gave this a one star because the website stated that you can shorten the rack, but it doesn’t tell you that the rack has to go the length of your table and attached to the table on the sides. I was looking for one that I could put up over half the table but the ends of the rack do not turn to allow you to attach to the back of a table instead of the side of the table. I returned this item.

This stand is good for adding an accent over a table, don't try to put much weight on it, that's not what it's for. If you use it for lightweight decorations such as garland, ivy, ballons, and light strands it works very well. The brass finish looks very nice as well.

I ordered this Over The Table Rod Stand to light a craft table that sits in a darker part of the room. I attached LED strip lights using cable clips. I was able to assemble the stand by myself, and needed my hubby's assistance only for the final step of installing the top, horizontal bar into the vertical sides, which would be quite challenging for one person to do.From an esthetic perspective, I wish that ALL the screws were the flat type that use the included Allen wrench, rather than the wing nuts. I'm not sure why the flat head screws are only used in a few places, but the wing nuts are a bit unsightly. If I were using this for a special event, I would have been disappointed with those nuts stick out.For my needs, this rod stand serves the purpose of adding light to my craft space.The top bar does bow down in the center, which is why I docked it one review star.

Simple to put together. Fits my 6†folding table. Seems sturdy but have not used it outside in the wind. Does not adjust longer, but you could adjust height to shorter. The clamp that attaches to the table do not rotate. They will need to be on each end of the table longways.
