This product is awesome. It works very well. Very easy to put together. The cars are quite and hardly ever come off the track. The scale is large and more visible to the eye. A must buy for kids or a gift for a friend. Much more than more expensive tracks. Durable not fragile. Guard rails slide into slots, suppose to the clip on one's. Hours of fun. Great low price. This one is a keeper and a winner. Very well pleased at a bargain. Attractive cars and track. Smooth quite operation. Wider track layout than most. Highly recommended. I assure you, you won't be let down. Best buy and strong quality. Excellent company. 100% 10 stars. Jonway rules. Thank You. Sincerly a satisfied and proud happy customer.

I bought this set after spending several hours trying to get the slot car set previously used by son, who is now a dad himself. I couldn't get the old style cars running reliably and finally bit the bullet to buy a new set, which was pretty cheap anyway. It went together easily and the design/function is way improved over what was available years ago. My advice is to buy one of the larger sets because there is not much flexibility in the layout you can create from these pieces and a bit more flexibility would help. I suppose you could buy two kits and have extra cars and controllers and track if you need it but then you have to have a place to store all the unused pieces. The only drag as far as I'm concerned is that it takes quite a bit of space if you leave it set up and there's not an easy way to hang it on a wall in the garage I(or something like that) to store it so it is not on the floor and under foot when not being use.My grand children who are 6 and 9 love playing with it and so do their parents and my 73 year old wife. So, I consider this a real entertainment "win" for a very reasonable amount of money....and so far there has been no need for aggravating "service" to keep the cars running, which is certainly a change/improvement over slot cars of yesteryear.

Great slot car track, but the ORANGE car didn't work! I purchased two sets, new, one right after the other and in both sets the orange car won't run. The yellow car works perfectly on either track, but the orange cars must be defective. I'm thinking they must have made a batch of these toys with one defective car. Other then that, it's a very solid track. I'm going to try one more time!

The little guy likes this but it does take up more room than the HO set. It works well and provides hours of fun so I say get one if you don't have something similar. Great for friends when they come over too.

It was intended to be a birthday present - so I was not going to spend a few hundred dollars on a slot car track. The cars themselves touch the track with what I would call a frayed wire. Most slot cars I am used to have a metal tab. So, more than anything else I spend my time smoothing and fixing the wire to touch the track. And then my kids push the car backwards and do things that fray the wire back out.Assembly was good, I expected it would be less than 100% perfect at this price point, but surprisingly it was not too bad. The plastic snapped together well and I only had one metal tab that I had to get pliers to "fix" things. The metal is a box at one end and crushed down to a point on the other, so the point slides into the box. The only problem was one had the point crushed out and I had to reshape. The triggers have held up so far, the cars are nice, the track is holding up. We will see how long the cars last, but even still, that is pretty easy to fix if the wire ends up fraying to bits. Or just buy new cars.

You know, for the price this set isn't a half bad. At the very least it has allowed us to see if our son would enjoy something like this -- which he does -- before we buy something more expensive. In fact, it was the very first gift he opened and played with this Christmas and he had no trouble setting it up and connecting everything on his own (with an adult plugging in the power brick for the USB cable, that is). That said, there are a few issues. The track itself feels a bit fragile and I don't expect it to last too long before breaking, much like one of the track risers already has. Plus, one of the lap counters was broken right out of the box. However, our biggest beef is that there weren't enough track risers in the set to build the raised curve as described in the instructions (and the photo on the box itself), and one of the ones we did get broke when we tried to set it up. I contacted the company nearly a month ago to ask where I could get more of those pieces, but I never received a response. Since I have no idea what size/kind of track this is in order to find an alternative option (this sort of thing isn't really my jam), we're pretty much stuck with a very limited number of track configuration options.Still, I don't regret the purchase, especially since I was able to snag it on sale. If I ever hear back from the company or find alternative track risers that work with the set, I'll let y'all know here.

one of the cars didnt work and the only option to resolve the issue is to return the track which i dont want to mess with, wish i could just get a new car sent to me, so im just going to buy another track hope both cars work this time.

Had issues with the cars running within 15 minutes of usage. The connections for the controllers is the worst, and the brushes for the cars themselves to get power off the track is cheap braided wire. Extremely low quality over-all.
