I also wrote a review on other Ozco products I purchased. This is a continuation. I designed and built my first pergola for our patio in 1999. At that time decorative accents simply were not available. As I was researching hardware for this project I was amazed at what was on the market, especially Ozco's building products. I really think their robust hardware really makes a project stand out.I purchased numerous products of theirs to accent the rough cut cedar pergola as you can see by the photos. They are not cheap, but they are also not cheap in quality. I did spend a lot of all of them combined, but I really think they make the pergola look great.Many friends and family have commented on how great the black accents look, and plan to use them in their projects.

These caps look great and are easy to use. For a ledger I had to use 6” deck screws and these worked fine

Rare to receive a quality a product these days. These fasteners are as advertised and delivered on time. Evidently a good vendor with a good product. My experience was good and will use this source in the future

I am building a large, covered structure for my RV and used these to put on the 6x6 cedar posts that I have. I received the item quickly, and have installed all of the caps, and have even referred to the manufacturers website for installation instructions and have the following Pro's and Cons on this item.I had already bought FastenMaster brand HeadLOK structural screws (from Home Depot or Lowes) to screw thru my post bases as they are very strong and equivalent to the strength of a 3/8" lag screw. These screws fit perfectly in to the Hex Caps and sat very well allowing the Hex Caps to correctly snug up to my post base and have the look of installed large bolts.I have attached pictures of the Hex Caps installed without the screw in caps - the Hex Caps installed with the screw in caps fully seated - the Hex Caps seated flush, even with the end of the Hex Caps - and a picture of the structural screws that I was using.Pro's:- Great, professional, sturdy packaging.- Super clean look and design- Super sturdy feel and very durable- Creates an upscale, "expensive" look at a low cost- Much less expensive than leading brand on market.Cons:While there are not many, I am listing a couple issues that I had, which is the only reason for rating the product at 4 stars instead of 5.- No installation instructions or directions on product box, or with the product. The description on the box refers you to their website for installation instructions, which is just one more thing you have to stop and do if you need them. I agree that installing these should not require instructions, however, I did have a concern about the installation of the screw in cap covers as they did not sit flush, and wanted to make sure I was installing them according to their recommendations. If installed by following the recommendations on their website, the screw in caps can be screwed all the way into a fully seated position even when only doing so by hand.- The screw in cap covers go in very easily. However, they screw in TOO FAR and leave part of the inside exposed and showing which kind of ruins the "expensive look". I went to the manufacturers website and followed the exact instructions for the install of these screw type covers - which says to "hand tighten" only, which I did. Even hand tightening allows the screw covers to be fully seated leaving the end of the opening exposed and showing.There is an easy fix to this though, which I did, and works well, allowing the screw in caps to sit flush with the end of the cover, and stay in without having to worry about it falling out over time.I bought some ThreadLocker Blue (Removeable type, not Permanant type) by Loctite which can be found at any Home Depot, Lowes or any hardware store. I applied a small dab of ThreadLocker to the screw in cap thread, and then just screwed it in until it was flush with the end of the cap, and it now sits in there secure without having to worry about it falling out.Would I buy these again??Definitely. It is a great product that is well worth the extra time and small added expense of the ThreadLocker to get the result that I was wanting - and is still WAY cheaper than the other leading brand on the market but gives the same finished look and result.

Bought for use with flat black plates I bought from Amazon. They make the deck/Gazebo Look INCREDIBLE. Easy. Fast, built very very well

These are a must have to make your project look fantastic.The only drawback is they don't sell them on smaller quantities. I came up two short and won't pay for 10 pack for the two I need.But, they are a must have to make your project look professional.
