This is the neutral white color and it is bright. I had to set the dimmer halfway.I didn't get any dead bulbs and they are all working great.I used a regulated soldering iron set at 800 with a medium tip. Heat one side of old bulb and lift up using the tip of the iron, then use tweezer to hold bulb and heat the other side to remove old bulbTo install, make sure the board doesn't have too much lead. Use tweezer to hold new bulb and heat one side, while lead is heated, push the new bulb in place. Then solder the other side. Then go back to the other side and just pass the tip of the iron in sliding motion just to make sure the lead is connected with the bulb.DO NOT solder for.more than 2 seconds or your bulb will melt. Let it cool for a few seconds and go back to fix it.

I used one of these to replace a defective slot car headlight in a Scalextric car. Dicey soldering of a surface mount component but it works great.

These things are great, and not so hard to put in if you have a good soldering iron and some patience. The only down side is that two of them were DOA.

My 4th gen 4Runners dash was so ugly and orange wanted to update it and this definitely did the job 10/10! Only thing is it flickers when dimming

Several LEDs were burned out on my instrument cluster. I replaced all of the backlight leds with these and they work well (Requires SMD soldering skill). I would say that they are twice as bright as the originals on the VDO cluster. Recommended, but if you want the original look, try to find some with less output. These are rated at 850 MCD. I like them. 2000 Audi A8 D2

Yes they work! Almost threw them in the trash after swapping 2 sets of 3 out of the pack. Then I reversed the proper orientation from +- to -+ and they work perfectly. Gave a 3 star cause of the headache

They weren't as bright as I thought they would be.. a little bit disappointed but it wasn't the end of the world... the cost wasn't crazy!

This was my first attempt at any soldering, make sure to mark +/- (I buggered one up and ended up destroying the led trying to remove and redo - which meant I didn't have enough to fully do the smaller dials for the thermo/fuel). Been 1 week, and no issues with dimming or flickering. Next project will be trying to figure out how to modify the DIC.

I used these for my cars dash to change the color and they work very good! I used the UV and Pink ones for my car, on camera the UV looks blue but in person it's clearly visible, but just so you are aware, the purple ones are quite more dimmer than the pink ones I got, so if you are looking for something brighter the UV's would not be the best choice!Anyway they all worked and came packaged nicely! Would recommend!
