So this was a chance shot never hear of HSF I am comparing this to units that are more expensive, this was very low price, the unit feels very solid and straight forward. The image adjustments are great and very easy to use, and the image quality is far superior with the 40 mk. I had a seek scan which I loved this is far superior. I do home inspections and this is a very impressive unit. Not crazy on the 1 year warranty but this unit feels very stout. Came quickly and no issues 2.5 hour charge and away we go.

We have not had much opportunity to use this camera outside of the house. So far we have just tested a few of the settings trying to get used to the camera. We also use the camera to find a few cold spots in our house, which will help us track the leak from the outside and patch it up. So far the product seems to have good quality craftsmanship and imagery. It is a compact size which will make it easy to store or bring along on our various camping trips. It has been a little tricky trying to get used to all the settings and where the buttons are, but I think with time it will become much easier. Since we have not had a lot of chance to use the camera that much we have not seen the full potential of the battery life.

I tried this and the Topdon TC004. Comparing side by side, this one was better. I really like that it captures the visual image and thermal image at the same time. I tried the blend mode and it works, but I prefer having the two separate images. I've used it to find studs in exterior walls, find gaps/voids in insolation, check a breaker box was roughly balanced under normal load, see a water heater had one element not working, and to spot drafts. The image quality is pretty good. Better than the TC004. I do wish it had the capability to export the raw IRG files like the TC004 with some software to analysis or change palette later.

I'm 40 years old. Anyone that's around my age grew up with the Predator movies, and the coolest thing about that movie (besides the whole premise) was the heat vision the predator used to stalk his prey. Every guy I knew wanted it; there's nothing like the idea of running around at night as the only person that can really see. I'm older now (funny how time works), and while I no longer entertain fantasies of poaching aliens across the universe there's still an old appeal. Also, now that I'm older, I have realistic and practical uses for this kind of tech. I'm not a professional mechanic, but I fix cars for my friends and family and love tinkering with my Jeep. I have all sorts of wiring and gadgets installed in mine, including a nice audio system. Being able to see where heat is going in the engine, if there are hot/cold spots, can help diagnose issues. Seeing how hot my various components (amps, wiring) get during use is very practical as well as heat is what kills an audio system, not just power. I'm also a volunteer search and rescue tech, and I'm sure you can imagine how being able to see heat would prove useful.A lot of back story here, but the point being, I've wanted a thermal camera for decades, while initially as a toy now it's toy and practical. When I saw this one available I had to try it.It arrived in a nice box and includes the camera, a hard case, a power cord, and a wrist lanyard. A manual and warranty card is also included.I opened the box yesterday and turned it on. I had all of these thoughts in mind on how to use it for my current project and they went out the window when the screen first came on. I went back to teenage-me, running around the house inside and out giggling and seeing what I could see. It's just like you imagined, you can turn the lights off and still see EVERYTHING. I've never wanted to play hide-and-go-seek this much as an adult.I haven't played with half of the features yet, but here are my initial thoughts:The camera is a little bigger than my Note 20 Ultra, but close enough that it feels familiar holding it. It's lighter than I expected, but does NOT feel cheap. The screen on this is GORGEOUS. It's bright, crisp, and clear. It's a full touch screen, and while the screen responsiveness isn't as fast as a brand-new phone it's more than enough for this device. There's an incredible amount of detail from the camera, with a constant readout showing the highest temperature on screen, the lowest, and whatever you have in the reticle. I've tested it on a lot of things inside the house and you can definitely see what's generating heat but even where warm things were recently resting. There's an app that you can download to your phone or tablet. The app will let you see exactly what's on the camera's screen (so you can either watch your phone/tablet while you maneuver the camera, see the camera image on a much bigger screen, or a second person can be viewing it as well without having to read over your shoulder. A lot of options in the camera can be adjusted on the phone, though I don't see it being any harder/easier than just using the camera. It also lets you save pictures and videos directly to your phone or tablet using the app, so if you're low on storage in the camera you can still save media.Overall this is an amazing tool to have in your kit. How often you'll use it really depends on what you'll get it for, but I know there were a few times that having something like this would have made vehicle diagnostics and repair a lot easier. The price tag isn't small, but this feels like a quality device that has earned that price tag.I highly recommend!

I'm in a bit of an odd position of having played with all of HSFTOOLS other thermal cameras, and I'm happy to report that the P2W takes all of my favorite features and packs them into a single unit. The touchscreen makes navigating settings incredibly intuitive. The visual camera allows for some pretty cool overlays to better establish context for you images. The resolution is phenomenal, and the refresh rate is fast enough that my I don't really notice it. Network connectivity makes transferring files, image analysis, and remote access a breeze. I absolutely love this camera.
