I bought these to plug the tops of Schedule D 2" I.D. metal pipes used to build a floating dock. They fit perfectly for this: a couple taps with a hammer to set, and easily enough pried loose with a slotted screwdriver. These protect the bare metal edge from causing injury if someone trips on the dock.

I used these plugs as caps for a case I made for my YOSELIN Dovetail Jig Wheel Marking Gauge Tool Set. I used a thin-wall PVC tube and used the plugs a end caps. They were tight and stayed secured yet they were easy to remove to access the tool set. They worked just like I had hoped. CJM

I measured my opening a number of times and bought these based on the described dimensions, but the inside fit is very loose. It sits okay on top of the pipe but I needed to silicone the piece to keep it from coming off. It would’ve helped if the vendor would describe these items in fractions instead of decimals, you know take out guesswork/homework.
