We have a 21 foot high ceiling in our entry way, which is impossible to reach with a ladder or standard scaffolding because of a spiral staircase. Professional painters wanted to charge thousands extra because they would have to construct special scaffolding to reach. This device made it possible to paint with a standard scaffold. Attached this edger to a long pole and completed the job.I would recommend reading the other helpful reviews, but in short, lubricate the wheels with silicone spray, clean them each time you apply an edge, and apply the paint with a brush as opposed to dipping it in paint. I found that if you go slow, you can ultimately go faste. Highly recommend.

This product is so cheaply made and does not work. I painted a room last month using a tool like this from Ace Hardware and it worked wonderfully so I ordered this one to use for my next project. Not at all the same results. Within 2 passes cutting in the ceiling, the line isn’t going on straight, there’s paint on the ceiling, and one of the wheels pops off. Literally all in the first 2 minutes of using it. So frustrating.

I needed to paint our stairway walls and was worried about getting paint on the ceiling (which would mean I would need to get some type of scaffolding to touch up). I was concerned after reading the "One Star" reviews that said the wheels were breaking. So, after receiving this edger I made some practice runs without any paint; on the end of my 14' telescopic pole. Not having a problem with that, I put paint on the pad and it worked perfectly! The fact that the head rotated on the pad base made it easy to use with the long pole while standing in one place; the rotating head made the necessary adjustments were the wall met the ceiling; so no paint on the ceiling. I'm thinking the people who complained about the rollers breaking were putting too much pressure on this unit. I put only the amount of pressure needed to keep the edger flat on the wall. And it worked great! Just remember these are plastic (all edgers I could find were plastic) and don't press too hard; easy does it.

Not very sturdy. Luckily I only needed it for a very small portion of the wall - otherwise it was a nightmare. Getting the handle to lock and behave was impossible and the little wheels popped right off so edging was tenuous at best.

Saved me a ton of time edging the very tall ceiling in my stairwell. I attached it to an extender pole. Worth the spend.

This is a big time saver, if you are painting walls and ceiling, different colors you will need one of these. paint the ceiling first, then do the walls with a roller, staying about 3 inches away from the ceiling, and then use this handy edger to finish the last 3 inches, be careful not to get paint on the little wheels.
