PAINTABLE SAMPLE FILM3PK

Awesome product! It sure beats painting samples on the wall while trying to decide on a color. I would definitely order again! I'm not entirely sure what the last review meant by high quality paints not adhearing to the film, but I didn't have that issue when I used Sherwin Williams, or Benjamin Moore.

These are great -- much better than painting and over-painting versions of e.g. green on a kitchen wall. I did not buy these from Amazon because it was not clear if this was a pack of three (cheaper elsewhere) or three packs of three (cheaper here). Regarding the negative reviews: I am using a trial size roller kit. The first color went on perfectly. However, I got the same non-adherence problem mentioned by others when I used the roller on a different color, and it wasn't completely dry after cleaning. So, I would suspect that if your paint is too thin for some reason, that's when you will have problems. Otherwise no. Best to give the film two coats, minimum, and make sure the coat is dry before the second one. If spotting, let it dry and then give it an extra coat or two. Also -- probably would recommend putting down e.g. waxed paper underneath rather than newspaper.

I’m not sure what’s up with the folks who had problems getting paint to adhere to these, but I had no such issues with samples from both of the big box home improvement stores. Also, these are cheaper there (3 dollars per pack of 3). I’m planning to grab more of these as we’re paining many rooms and cabinets and it’s nice to move these around in different places to see how the colors work with natural light at different times of day. Yes, foam board work also work in some cases, but these can be stuck high on the wall or on upper cabinets.

The paint would not stick to the film, instead shifting and leaving uncovered places even after multiple coats. Would not recommend.

I have used this product with Benjamin Moore and Dunn Edwards paints and had no problem. Great way to test colors; the sheets can be moved around throughout the day to see how the paint shade looks under various lighting conditions.

High quality paint doesn't adhere to surface, not worth wasting your time or money. Try a piece of foam core instead.
