So one cap is taller than the other and they have notches cut out to fit over the belt tensioner bolts. This is proper for the HD Softail. However, the allen set screw isn't positioned correctly. Two things are incorrect about this set screw:1. it is set too far out from the base of the cap and causes you to either tighten the cap down on the axel adjuster washer edge (not 100% face contact) or you have to align the set screw with the axle nut and then the cap doesn't mate properly against the swing arm exposing what you are trying to cover up.2. the set screws should be facing down to the road so you don't see them. These are not! they are facing straight up and that is just not the aesthetic that you want when installing smooth chrome axel nut caps... Oh, and just in case someone out there says well just install them on the opposite sides so the set screw faces down; well that doesn't work because again one cap is taller (to allow for the axle nut and cotter pin) while the other is shorter to fit over the axle bolt head so they are just made wrong.I do not recommend these for the Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic.

The caps arrived earlier than expected so that's a plus, however the fitment was NOT for a 1985 FXST as stated in their fitment guide. These were almost twice the size of the caps I'm replacing so I returned them and bought them from the Dennis Kirk website instead.
