I've had a pair of the OnStage Brand Mini Speaker Stands for a few years that I use in my home studio and needed a second pair for small gigs with a portable mini PA. At $55 for two of Vondynotes compared to $37 for just one OnStage, I thought I would give them a try and I was very pleasantly surprised. These have an almost identical footprint, the legs spreading maybe an inch more is all and that's probably due to the fact these use larger diameter tubing. Weight is similar, and function is virtually identical. The main difference is the clamp on the OnStage is a little wider and stronger, and it doesn't need/have the safety pin that is on these. These seem to need the pin which means they aren't as infinitely adjustable, but with it they are plenty sturdy and the 6" height increments should work for most situations. The one other difference is while these supposedly allow you to go a few inches higher, I would not use the tallest setting on these small Vondynote stands as there is not enough of the top tube left inserted in the base for them to be stable -- so functionally they are basically the same max height as the On-Stage stands. I am using these with some small narrow powered speakers that are about 15 lbs and roughly 7"x8"x20" and for that they are perfect. They are probably fine with something up to 25 lbs or maybe even 30 lbs, but I wouldn't try more than that with the small tripod footprint (nor would I on the OnStage minis either). If you need a compact speaker stand that doesn't hog floorspace and cause potential trippage with a huge wide tripod these are great! Just be realistic about the size of speaker these are really intended for.

Awesome little speaker stand, it was perfect for smaller karaoke speakers. Seems to be very sturdy and well built.

I use these stands with a pair of JBL Partybox 310 speakers (Each speaker is nearly 40lbs), and these do great. They're very well constructed, tubes are nice and beefy, the leg supports are actually thick metal which is nice to see. Used them for a few parties so far, and I feel like these will probably last for a good long while. Very pleased with these stands.

There are not many shorter/lower speaker stands out there. I do some larger events where I have two 15" powered speaker cab's and two 8" cab's all running. I do not typically use a sub. I get plenty of bass from the 15s and I am not doing raves or pumpimg "house". I wanted to get my 15s down lower but not on the floor or the ground; and get the 8s up above them. These get the job done. YES they support my 15s (about 38 pounds) very well. I wish someone was making a shorter stand with a beefier pipe diameter, or maybe just a heavy base with a single pipe, but failing that...these work.

I bought these for sound reinforcement scenarios (one or two speakers) along with my vertical array PA. These stands work great for my 8 inch powered speakers. Although they can be raised fairly high, I'm not too comfortable raising the speakers up to their peak, but up to the first 2-3 holes of the inner stem, it feels very sturdy. Compared to my full-sized speaker stands, these are much better suited for gigging. I find myself comfortably adding these to my vehicle as a backup in case I want to augment sound, especially for outdoor venues. I rarely did that with my heavy-duty full-size stands. Good value and fits the bill for me.

I bought these small speaker stands for my small studio. My older wall hung speakers weren't doing the job anymore so I purchased a larger set. The larger set only had pole mounting holes in the bottom so I needed stands for them. I had a large set of poles for my Mackie speakers but they were too big and cumbersome for the smaller space. I found these on Amazon and they work perfectly.
