See photos for examples of poor craftsmanship on this bowl. I should have listened to the other reviewers and avoided this salad bowl set. I was hoping to gift this to a friend, but the flaws are extreme, it would be embarrassing to gift such a flawed item to someone.It no way does it look like the product photos, not the shape, color, style, or craftsmanship. I got the larger size and the bowl is shallow, not deep.For the $50 price tag, this should be flawless! This wooden salad bowl set is beautifully-designed, substantial, and lovely to look at. It's not oversized, but is the perfect size for serving a small dinner party or an intimate dinner for two. We got this salad bowl for a small house party. When it arrived I was quite amazed to see how lovely it looked - well polished and flawless. It appeared perfect for serving a large salad in, especially when you are entertaining. Came with 2 serving pieces, too, that are just as nice.However, my impression quickly changes as I washed it for the first time. All the cracks and roughness hidden underneath started to show up and this salad bowl is nothing but a cheap knock-off copy of some of the other high-end bowls. Its rough and sloppy looking that you don't feel like serving anything it in anymore, esp., for guests. Thumbs down!!

I was really excited to receive this salad bowl set, I’ve wanted a wood one like it for some time. The utensils are flawless, and have beautiful grain. Unfortunately the bowl has too many flaws for me to recommend it. Some of the joints where the wood comes together look unfinished/unsealed and I worry about getting oils & dressing inside them. Along the rim there is a warp that appears to have been sanded and glued poorly as it’s rough and came with fibers caught in it. The last picture points that out, along with what appears to be newspaper print transfer, and a crack on the exterior.

Love the acacia wood, it's so pretty. I love the matching serving spoons. Great for 2 people or 6! I got the bigger size because you never know how many people you may have over for supper! Washes well and looks amazing. Very pleased with this set.
