Works great, gives you a reference point to adjust lighting. Wish the screen was brighter.

My plants now have a great source of light because of this. I can't live without it. Well well worth the money 💰 and easy to use.

I'm really thrilled with this light meter. I garden and have a lot of indoor plants. This meter is perfect for keeping tabs on how much light my plants are actually getting. I really like that I don't have to use an app to use this. I even use this for my vivarium. Overall, I'm very happy with the meter and it seems to be very accurate.

I have used much more expensive and more well known brand name certified meters in the past. This one while it doesn't have all the international certifications, does appear to work well enough for home and DIY use. I have been testing the light reduction characteristics of different greenhouse nettings. It doesn't need certifications for that purpose as I am only measure percent change readings. I do like that it comes with both a coiled short cable for walking and remote use, while also coming with a straight 12' cable for more permanent mounting situtations. Easy to use and the large LCD screen is easy to read. 5 stars for value.

I can not get this to work with led. Works fine with natural light. I can hold it inches underneath 300 watt led and read 4-5 hundred ppm and 3-4 hundred at edge of tent. Or sometimes other way around. Only varies1-2 hunded from light at top of tent to bottom. Should be 3000 ppm plus at light and 900 ppm plus at edges. This only weights a little over a ounce. There is nothing in it like a empty shell. It reminds me of something in the toy section of a dollar store. The ones I’ve seen cost $600 or more and I can not afford. I do not think you can get one to work right for under this. This is the 3rd different kind and I had to return all 3. There is a reason grow shops do not sell these $5.00 things and should have been a heads up for me. The packing is a little generic plain white box with no writing or pictures of what is inside. Can you spell China?

Works great. Battery last. Easy to use. .01 difference in my other par meter. So very accurate. Would buy again if I need to.

I was surprised at how easily this device works. I’m not sure why other users are saying they don’t get any readings from their lights when using this I can get readings off a simple lightbulb or a large light vastly different readings depending on the distance you bring the probe to the light as well.Everything seems to be working exactly as it should to me, so I’m not sure why others are giving it a low score unless they received a defective unit. For me, I’ve been looking for a decent light meter for a long time. This will allow me to know exactly how much light I’m getting at various heights and will help me calibrate my grow operation accordingly we’re currently I’m just doing it based off of a visual look. Now I’ll be able to know with certainty what my numbers are at various light heights.A+ product works great. Yes it is very lightweight but it’s only a few sensors after all, and most of the sensors are in the hand piece that goes under the light not in the main unit.No issues here, would recommend.

My wife keeps and propagates all kinds of plants, and since this is done indoors, she has all kinds of plant grow lights at her disposal. The challenge, however, is that having a grow light doesn't mean much if it doesn't produce the right amount of "PAR" (Photosynthetically active radiation), and knowing the amount of PAR for any given light at any specific distance is pretty important. What I like about this PAR meter is just how simple it is to use. It has no complicated features or strange settings to leans. And calibration takes a few seconds.By the same token, some people might want more out of their light meter, but for plants, this is what you want.Included in the kit are 2 x AAA batteries, a manual, the sensor (with a 1/4" tripod mount hole, if needed), and two types of cables. The twisted cable is ideal if you're using this as a handheld meter, while the longer cable is great if you're setting the sensor up somewhere long term. This unit does have a logging feature, which can be handy. As far as I can tell, there's no way to export the log.The readings (in μmol/m²/sec) are fast and seem to be quite accurate. We've tested several lights already, and it seems to be in line with another PAR meter she uses.At the time of this review, this meter is listed for $149.99. This is in line with several other similar PAR
