I purchased this cord for our flag pole. Durability was my concern. It is VERY durable but a bit stiff for making knots that you often make with a flagpole. We made it work , just know it is stiff.

My old 20' rope was not wire-core - it snapped! I gave the volunteer fire department a donation to reinstall the new line. To connect ends of 5/16" wire-core flagpole rope; use a triple fisherman's knot with 3/16" U-bolts then cover all with waterproof tape. I am so pleased with it! I also love the silver color.
